“Now, as to Palin, I agree entirely with what Mara said. She is — she has star power without any doubt. She has an extremely devoted following. But she is not a serious candidate for the presidency.

She had to go home and study and spend a lot of time on issues in which she was not adept last year, and she hasn’t. She has to stop speaking in clichés and platitudes. It won’t work.”

He just repeats the same stuff over and over again. He’s boring. I rarely watch him. He is not a conservative in any meaningful sense.

The fact that she is a happy person with a great life does not make her stupid or un-serious any more than Krauthammer’s perpetually dour mood makes him a serious thinker. Certainly, Reagan was a perpetual optimist with a good sense of humor, which was often mistaken by his Establishment enemies (like Krauthammer and Kissinger and Nixon) for stupidity.

I have examined a lot of Kraut’s pompous pronouncements over the years and, when they are scrutinized, there is generally less there than meets the eye.

LOL. I thought it was pretty funny to hear the grand Charles, who has a wonderful vocabulary, almost repeat word for word what he said about her over a year ago...lol.

I mean it seriously, Charles needs to get out of the Beltway -— maybe spend a little time in Wasilla...LOL. At least go on the road with Sarah Palin or sit down for an interview with her. That might even be a good idea.
