Senate Democrats have filed a $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill that would fund the government through fiscal year 2011, according to Senate GOP sources. The 1,924-page bill includes funding to implement the sweeping healthcare reform bill Congress passed earlier this year as well as additional funds for Internal Revenue Service agents, according to a senior GOP aide familiar with the legislation. The package drew a swift rebuke from Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee. "The attempt by Democrat leadership to rush through a nearly 2,000-page

Now I see why Thad's office told me the "Senator" would "likely vote for the bill to keep the government running..."

!!!!!!!!

FROM NACHUM'S LINK!

The architect of the measure, Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Daniel Inouye, D-Hawaii, has been working with senior Republicans on the panel — Thad Cochran of Mississippi, Robert Bennett of Utah and Kit Bond of Missouri, among others — to line up the 60 votes needed to repel a filibuster promised by GOP Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina and other conservatives.

Cochrane is the biggest Senate porker of all. Bennett, Bond, and Voinovitch are lameduck, corrupt bastard RINOS.

Senate votes down ban on earmarks, 39-56
By J. Taylor Rushing - 11/30/10 09:52 AM ET

EXCERPT

Eight GOP senators voted to preserve earmark spending, including Thad Cochran (Miss.), Susan Collins (Maine), James Inhofe (Okla.), Dick Lugar (Ind.), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and Richard Shelby (Ala.). Retiring Sen. George Voinovich (Ohio) and defeated Sen. Bob Bennett (Utah) also voted against it.

I heard James Inhofe’s speech on the Senate floor explaining his vote -— namely that without earmarks the money goes to the _resident for grants etc.

The others are porkers, and mercifully, we rid of Voinovitch, Bennett and Bond, come January, but Cochrane and Murkowski are always porkers, and I’m not sure about Shelby.

Collins is a blithering idiot, I don’t know about her penchant for pork either. She needs to be TEA Party’d in the primary. The woman is a disaster.
