Republicans poring over a 1,924-page spending bill proposed by Democrats to cover the rest of the fiscal year are threatening to ground the legislation to a halt, citing hidden earmarks and massive spending that would be enacted into law without a review process.

So are they going to kill it?? Geez I wish they would!!!! There is too much “Support” for this from the likes of BUbba.
Agree 100%. They should do the same thing with extending the current tax rates and not allowing the estate tax to become law.
Kill this Bill....then shut down the U.S. Government. it will be re-opened, one department per appropriation bill at a time.
No more of this omnibus appropriations bills.
Tense inconsistency. Needs reconciliation in chronological sense.
Absolutely
Am I missing something?
If the Republicans delay implementing the funding bill, they will have:
1) Allowed the new Republican house and the much more Republican senate to draft new legislation;
2) Have assured defeat of gays in the military;
3) Have killed the chain-migration DREAM amnesty bill?
4) Have more screws to turn into our weak and embattled President?
Am I missing something?
They all need to just go home, those that can’t come back, and wait for January. Screw ‘em and Obama too.
The Republicans just need to tell the Democrats the American people FIRED you in November.. so we are just going to fillabuster EVERYTHING until January, so you might as well all go home for Christmas!
Looks like there are some signs of spine after all, in Foggy Bottom. :)
bttt
Yes, you are missing the absolute corrupt nature of those republicans in DC now.
LLS
Angry? Then DO SOMETHING about it. Stop with the lip flappin’ and get busy!
I doubt it. I think they’re chicken sh***.
Unless they have some good plans to take the place of
all this crap, they won’t want to appear stupid and incompetent.
If the R’s will stand firm, that gives them a way to gobble up another three weeks of the rats dwindling time to do damage.
You got it Brother. This was a set up from the word go. We had best walk away from this game quickly. I’m scared Boehner is gonna fall right into this trap. He’s also gonna call it a WIN for the Republicans. Personally I just find this whole deal depressing.

More “bi-partisan moderate” Rino progress out of the Senate. What idiots.
I hate to be the downer here, but I think that there are MANY on this forum that will be severely disappointed with the new Republican majority in the house.
Always remember the cardinal rule of American politics: Corrupt Democrats and Spinless Republicans.
Remember how disappointed we were when we got President Bush elected the second time and the first thing he did was to pass that corrupt Medicare prescription plan, so that he could take the wind out of the Dems sail? He still did it and the Dems are still here.
Dems are the Roll-ers and Repubs are the Roll-ees. That's why we have things like Planned Parenthood killing 50 million babies, govt funding of the ACLU, govt funding of every imaginable kind of environmental project, gay everything and on and on and on.
I mean jeez, how many times we gotta be stabbed in the back by the Snowe's, Collins's, McCain's, Lugars, and other RINO's before people get the message that the enemy isn't always amongst the Dems. If it wasn't for this small cabal we'd get a LOT of our programs passed.
I think that many on this forum are writing checks that the Repubs in congress won't/can't cash.
Maybe we can get rid of some more RINOS and CINOS next round.
Speaking of RINOS...how is Scott Brown doing on this tax debacle?
