Knights of Columbus to reassemble the creche in front of the borough building as part of a larger holiday display as soon as Tuesday
---snip---
Members of council after the meeting said they expected the nativity to be back in its place in front of the borough building as soon as Tuesday morning. It will join the Christmas tree, wreaths and other holiday decorations already on the lawn.
After the vote, Milioto applauded the residents of Canonsburg for their tenacity and cooperation through the process.
"Tonight was a display of peaceful government working together," he said, acknowledging that all of Washington County was likely watching to see how council would act. "The residents of Canonsburg have never taken a back seat in a fight."
Glad to see the atheist, bi-sexual, mental patient, (who writes about demons cutting off genitals) did not get her way.
Hallelujah!
Things are definitely changing.
Politicians, corporations, school authorities, etc. will pander to whomever is the loudest and most numerous. After decades of just bending over and occasionally grumbling privately, “we” are fighting back. One ACLU-type malcontent is outweighed by an aroused citizenry. Turning the other cheek only gives the enemy another shot with the branding iron.

Good news and outcome bttt.
Good
Thank you for the follow-up and your great work. And I see she’s shutdown her web venues. A win-win. :)
I would like to hope that this action pushes the little nut-case over an edge.
Warm room with padded walls.
I have never understood why ANY town knuckles under to an ACLU lawsuit threat. If they ignore the suit, and the ACLU gets a judgement...can they really collect it if the town refuses to pay? Not an easy thing to collect cash from a hostile town or city.
Would they add as well an image of the one who stirred this up in the first place to be remembered as one who left America only to mourn the fact that they are not American
The face of this image could be that of the Scream. And the body most wretched and in chains they forged themself.
AMEN!!!!!!!
"But Hartley said she never intended to sue over the matter.
"I don't have the money for a lawyer, so I wouldn't have sued. I just asked them not to put the nativity up this year because it doesn't belong here," said Hartley.
Hartley wrote that the creche was disrespectful to citizens who aren't Christian and that it shouldn't be displayed at a government building.
"It was the just the fact that the nativity was on government property that bothered me. It wasn't the nativity itself. If it was on church property it wouldn't bother me at all," said Hartley.
Following Hartley's comments, the Downtown Merchants Group organized a live nativity and other events for this weekend.
Many people said they are happy that the display will be brought back to its original spot.
"57 years it sat in the same spot and let's just keep our fingers crossed that it can stay there without a lot of outside forces, " said said the Merchants Association Manager Nadeen Steffy"
Thanks for the ping.
Great news!
