Once you're on the plane the flight attendants stated that all tobacco use is prohibited and they went out of their way to emphasize smokeless tobacco.
I just did some business travel last month. The TSA at Midway Airport in Chicago were confiscating e-cigs.
Rush Limbaugh is tearing this up on his program right now!
Yep...I’m listening :-)
I propose making the sale and possession of lighters illegal since they can be used to light tobacco products.
No it's not... I've had my copenhagen along on many flights. It's a lifesaver.
Hi RF. I’m thinking of getting a kit for my brother to try out. He’s been smoking Marlboros for over 30 years. Any suggestions on brands? Thanks.
Say WA? Evergreen State ping

Ping sionnsar if you see a Washington state related thread.
Not meaning to butt in, but I purchased e-cigarettes for my wife, my stepdaughter, and my son-in-law so that they could smoke in the house. I am a non-smoker and don't have any problem with their e-cigs.
We bought this brand ... SmokeTip at http://www.smoketip.com/
They actually have a Marlboro-flavored "filter" called "Cowboy" in regular, light, extra-light, and nicotine free.
Not “butting” in at all.:-} I appreciate the info.
It may not be banned by the TSA, but as of my most recent commercial flight about a month ago, the flight attendants announced that smokeless tobacco use was not permitted on the flight. It may be a specific airline rule (United) but in this day and age, noncompliance with the instructions of the flight crew can get still make things at your arrival pretty uncomfortable.
Interesting... I flew United about a month ago too. I suppose there’s some idjits that have been leaving behind some nasty spit-cups. @holes... ruin a good thing for the rest of us.
Some of them, though, like the Camel snus packets you don’t need to spit, and would be hard for them to ever detect, and thusly, care about.
Yeah...I did a little research after I replied to you as I’d dipped on flights for years. It looks like it’s a specific rule of Delta (and a few other carriers) that bans tobacco usage all together in flight. I was kind of caught off guard when the pre-flight instructions from the flight crew specifically addressed smokeless tobacco.
This Is A Smoke Free Area. Joking About Smoking Is A Felony. No Jokes Please.
I heard on the news today that “they” have discovered that the Blood of Children who live in apartment complexes contains 46% more nicotine than the Blood of Children that live in houses.
Well yeah, because dippin’ and spittin’ while sitting between two people would be... well it would be wrong. Among other things.
That’s a good idea.
I guess we just need to keep moving the line until everybody flies in a straightjacket with a gag in their mouth so people like you aren't offended.
Seattle needs to be sacked -
