torn aortas are ruff
The aorta has 2 main sections---the ascending aorta travels upwards and carries blood just ejected from the hearts left ventricle. The descending aorta travels mostly through the abdomen. Holbrooke sounds like he had an ascending aortic aneurysm large enought so that it created a tear under pressure with a weakened wall. Aneuryms in the ascending aorta are very often fatal if they burst or tear.
You know, your kind answers made me really feel part of a brethren.
Thanks for that:)
That, FRiend, is because you are.
I’m surprised that anyone here would try to argue this sort of facile moral equivalence. Obviously, bombing evil regimes who won’t respond to sweet reason (e.g. the Nazis, the Serbs) is fundamentally different from terrorist attacks on legitimate states.
Funny how the people here on FR continually complain about the MSM and their less than accurate portrayals of current events and then suddenly find it convenient to leverage their reporting when discussing Balkan issues. You appear to have consumed generous amounts of the kool-aid d'jour.
Sweet reason: "Serbs, hand over your lands to the Muslims so that Osama bin Laden can have a base of operations and Soros can take over the mineral rights."
Holbrooke and Albright had hard-ons for Milosevic’s head and were willing to create fake massacres and kill civilians (including Albanians) to do it.
“Two Terrorists Embrace”
Walter Rockler was old and ill, but he was still of sound mind and thought enough to record his comments for posterity on the subject:
..."When I was a young prosecutor of Nazis at Nuremberg, I read the court addresses of Justice Robert Jackson who at one time stated, "If certain acts in violation of treaties are crimes, they are crimes whether the United States does them or whether Germany does them, and we are not prepared to lay down a rule of criminal conduct against others which we would not be willing to have invoked against us."
Today, I cannot be persuaded that random destruction and killing in Yugoslavia by the strong against the weak was anything less than killing in the service of arrogance, and I repudiate the shabby pretexts for this criminal conduct."
These comments at Nuremberg were made in the days when, as a Christian country, we still believed in "doing unto others has we would have done unto us". Now, thanks to atheistic globalists like Holbrooke and Clinton, we seem to think that we are above obeying that Commandment.
Rockler's assessment of the situation has ultimately proven true as those who we defended have turned out to be the victimizers rather than the victims.
Heck, here I was, all proud to be counted with you!
;)
May God bless my FRiend.
