Students at Bronx high school pushed her to the ground
A Bronx teacher suffered a miscarriage after breaking up a fight between two students over a chair, school officials said Thursday.
Lissedia Batista, 27, was elbowed in the stomach, pushed, and fell to the floor as she tried to get in the middle of a fight between two students.
Batista was four months pregnant and was taken by ambulance to North Centeral Bronx Hospital, where she miscarried her baby.
The two students involved in the fight have been suspended.
Perhaps because it was not murder?
HOW TRAGIC.
But murder? That had to be an accident. What a horrible thing for everyone all around.
It’s not a teacher’s job to get in the middle of a fist fight. She should have just called security. Her bad judgement cost her. Meanwhile, the lefties will all applaud, I’m sure. One less abortion needed now.

Good luck to her. A pregnant teacher willing to step into a fight - sounds like someone who cares about her students.
Let's see if these creeps have been in troubloe before. Bet they have. And if they have and were put back in the system "because" (PC) she can probably sue the district.
I'm sure she would want to leave that school and never look back. At least she's young.
When I was in school a student running in the hallway ran into a pregnant teacher who had a miscarriage.
Running in the halls was pretty severely punished for a few years after that.

Very sad for this woman who lost her unborn child. For the rest of her life, she will wonder how it happened and if her stepping in actually caused this to occur. I have known several friends who have miscarried and they mourn horribly. Prayers for this woman and her child. Just a thought.

What an awful situation. Kids are animals these days; even as young as the second grade.
Sad thing is that teachers in NYC are told by the admin and by the union NOT to break up fights. Get security to handle it and stay out of the way.
