Black Conservative Group Launches Petition Drive To Remove RNC Chairman Michael Steele
Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, Founder and President of BOND Action, a national 501 (c) (4) nonprofit organization created to educate, motivate, and rally Americans to greater involvement in the moral and political issues that threaten America, announced today that his group is launching a Michael Steele Must Go! petition drive. Rev. Peterson was one of the first Republicans to publicly call for embattled RNC Chairman Michael Steele to step down last January, citing his financial mismanagement and lack of conservative convictions to lead the committee.
I am encouraging the national committee members to vote Michael Steele out in January, said Rev. Peterson. He added, Steele has shown with words and by his actions that he is a liability to the party. Republicans cannot afford to go into the 2012 presidential election cycle with a weak and potentially corrupt committee head.
The 168-member RNC committee meets in January to vote on whether Steele will remain as leader. Some notable Republican candidates have added their hat into the race. Those in the running include:former Michigan GOP chairman Saul Anuzis; Wisconsin GOP chairman Reince Priebus; former RNC co-chairman Ann Wagner; former Bush administration official Maria Cino; former RNC chairman Mike Duncan; and former RNC political director Gentry Collins, who recently made headlines when he called Steele an exceptionally poor manager of resources and an exceptionally poor fundraiser.
Rev. Peterson said, Im encouraging Republicans around the country to sign our petition and send a message to the voting committee members to get over their fears of being called racists or any other apprehension they have and replace Steele with a qualified conservative Republican.

No, he doesn't. Steele is being "punished" because he had the courage to speak out against Obama's War.
We must have Patton-style, no-nonsense leaders at every level of the Republican Party. In my opinion, Michael Steele and John Boehner haven’t proven that they have what it takes to lead. We’re at war for our survival and we must have leaders with spine and guts. So far, only the women in the GOP have proven they’re leaders and willing to expose the lies and motives of the RATs.
“We must have Patton-style...”
Absolutely. The GOP needs someone fiercely focused on conservative values and principals... not someone who wants to make friends. Enough with the wishy-washy, trying to get along and be liked mentality. Just a thought.
Damn straight!
Allow me to be the first to laugh out loud at your post.
When does the RNC vote again? I hope it is some time soon.
Did you see Boehner on 60 MInutes yesterday? Sigh...
What? He “mishandled money” for one thing.
About time!
That’s right, Steele is the poster child for a RHINO
RACISM calls in 5....4.....3....
And my post is wrong because.......?
He’s dead Jim!
The true RINOS are those who, unlike Steele, are unquestioning shills for Obama’s War. Steele should stay. We need a choice not an echo on Afghanistan.

I got this from another article he wrote...But very true.
I’ve never heard of any of the people he calls “notable”. I guess I’ve been living in a cave.......
Who do we call and How?? do we get our message to DC?? Apparently, November 2nd didn’t get their attention.
LoL......
Isn’t he going to announce today he will not seek a second term?
