Actually the group wrote a letter to the Republican Party asking that the Republican Party avoid discussion of social issues. And NO the Republican Party should not avoid discussion of social issues but should continue to address all issues of concern to their ranks.
The Tea Party is a movement to restore limited government and fiscal conservatism, and should address social issues only as they relate to fiscal issues. Let conservative groups formed to address social issues stick to their mission and let the Tea Party stick to their original mission.
This isn't rocket science and the attempt by some to cause confusion, really grows tiresome.
Your post should be the last word on the subject. Well said.

THe problem is the liberaltarians and fiscal “conservative” but socially liberal want to silence any and all social conservatives; at least that’s what I’ve been seeing.
Whereas those who are truly socially conservative are fiscal conservatives as well.
Go ahead and correct me if I’m wrong!
For instance, I see many posters saying that only fiscal conservatism is important, only economic issues, etc. But I never see people on the other side saying only social issues/conservatism is important.
And the GOProud idiots aren’t conservative in any way at all, groups like them are just lefitst pushing their own leftist agendas with a small nod towards “keeping taxes low” and a tiny mention of the 2nd Amendment. Other than that, their stated agenda is all “gay” 100%. As they’ve admitted proudly!
