TLC describes this week's episode as follows:
Sarah welcomes Kate Gosselin and her children to Alaska. To prepare for a camping trip with the kids, Sarah takes Kate to a bear safety class for rifle practice. Then Kate and the kids experience the wilderness braving the challenges of camping in Alaska....lol.
Be that as it may, Sarah Palin tweeted,
Life=10% circumstances, 90% your reaction to circumstances. Sunday's "Sarah Palin's AK 'Alaskan Hospitality'" episode illustrates that a bit 8:46 AM Dec 10th via Twitter for BlackBerry®

LOL. Well, like you told me, she owns her own business! She sounds absolutely fabulous, but I knew you would have such a wife!!
JPG told me that Sarah’s episode last last again drew over 3 million viewers. I think, 3.5 million!

I ahve to admit I averted my eyes when they did the Carabou. I watched my uncle do a rabbit when I was young, but don’t have the stomach for it anymore — so I’m glad someone else can prepare my meat for me!!!
My whole family is loving this series — my son is preparing to take a Boy Scout trip to Alaska this summer (rafting in the Copper river area, I believe). It’s been interesting to see Alaska, and a bit scary thinking my son will be up there out in the wilderness — fortunately with a group of people and a guide who knows the area.
I know my whole family would die to get a chance to spend a night camping with the Palins, and so it particularly irked me to see Kate throw a VERY EXPENSIVE opportunity away like that.
To: CharlesWayneCT
OH, how fortunate and wonderful for your son! Very exciting and he will be in god hand with the Boy Scouts and the guide who knows the area, but you will worry or be concerned, nonetheless, and I would too.
The series is wonderful, and like your family, mine looks forward to each Sunday. I hear you --- lots of members here would have loved to Kate's opportunity!
I didn't look at the carving of the Caribou either, and I've watched that episode 5 times.

Plus, where else do you get to see some guy bite Bristol Palin in the behind with a bear skull? :-)
To: CharlesWayneCT
LOL. I think it was Willow at the Bear Safety Class.

I was hoping not, but I just checked, and you are right. Now I feel bad about my comment, as it seems rather inappropriate :-)
Kate’s reaction to bear safety was hilarious as well.

Outstanding numbers for Holiday viewing... I had to DVR it myself... but I watched! How could I miss seeing the woman that is going to save our Founder's vision? GOD blessed us with her... she is the real deal! Off to bed... see you at the troll slayings tomorrow! Just another day on FR, wielding the sword of truth and honor!

Holiday viewing...that’s right! and power outages in several upper midwestern states due to severe snowstorms. Troll slayings....LOL. Good night, dearest you!

If Sarah plans to run for prez, teaming up with a reality TV bimbo and her brood was a mistake.
To: Virginia Ridgerunner
Who said anything about Chuck Heath??
He commented on what happened *from the plane to the campsite*, not the entire situation. Kate participated in the prior activities, and was even enjoying herself visiting with the Palins once she warmed up to them—people are labeling her “a miserable person” because of a few minutes of edited television—isn’t that EXACTLY what happened to Sarah Palin a few years ago? :-(

Nope, not at all.
This show, along with all of her others on TLC, was a stroke of genius on Governor Palin's part.
She is getting paid $1 million dollars an episode to reach out to a section of the American Voting electorate whom she would have had a hard time reaching in any other format.
She get's to show them who she really is without the filter applied by the left-wing press.
Mistake my butt!
To: SoConPubbie
I believe the reports are she is paid about $250,000 an episode, or $2 million for the entire series. I haven’t seen any formal statement to that effect though.
To: SoConPubbie
My point was that teaming up with Kate was a mistake, not the show over all. That is exactly what my post said. Teaming with Kate lowers Palin to a silliness level. She will struggle to be taken seriously because of the media assaults anyway. I see no reason to give them fuel for their fire.

Love seeing Sarah using LIBERAL HOLLYWOOD money to get her conservative message across!

You're probably right.
Either way, a simply brilliant move on her part.
I think this is what bothers many of these PDS posters the most.
How smart this makes her look.

I respectfully disagree.
It gave her another oppurtunity to show how much common sense she has.
Her response to Kate's silliness was perfect.
