TLC describes this week's episode as follows:
Sarah welcomes Kate Gosselin and her children to Alaska. To prepare for a camping trip with the kids, Sarah takes Kate to a bear safety class for rifle practice. Then Kate and the kids experience the wilderness braving the challenges of camping in Alaska....lol.
Be that as it may, Sarah Palin tweeted,

Popcorn and pure enjoyment - the Palins, Heaths and 8 plus Kate!
Perfect!!
Love Piper with the bump hair.
Yep! The winner title by diverteach
OH, “bump” hair. I didn’t know what it was called.
Thanks very much! She’s very cute!!
This is the internet. You will be corrected if you are wrong.
I sort of recall...lol. Sue runs the stop-over site (weigh station?) for pilots on their way to that hunting grounds where Sarah and her Dad went hunting. Sue doesn’t see anyone except during the season when there’s hunters.
She a bad person for a having normal likes and dislikes?
I'm 100 percent for PALIN 2012, but people need to get a life!
After seeing Kate’s behavior tonight..I think Dina Lohan will no longer be considered the “Worst mother ever!” Its not the fact that Kate had NO clue what it is like to be camping in the wilderness, that is understandable..but it was the way she treated her children, who were having an amazing time and enjoying themselves, to take them away from that..to say “Your a Palin now, your no longer a Gosselin” What kind of idiot says that on national television, someone with Kate’s experience being on TV, to say that ON camera..she is either a witch or an idiot or both
My least favorite episode also.
I wish they’d introduced Kate’s kids by name, for those of us unfamiliar.
Interesting... thanks for that Kate/FB link.
That's the only positive I see in bringing Kate's and Sarah's families together on this show: Kate's fans will get an eyeful (and earful) of what their miserable, rude and self-absorbed darling is really like, compared to a genuine "happy warrior" like Sarah Palin and her family of happy warriors.
Hope the Kate fans will become new Sarah Palin fans after watching tonight's show. ;-)
Great point! It was All About Kate, unfortunately.
I and we have a life. Kate agreed to a camping trip with her children. She let them down. Not any of us.! LOL. The show was a hit, for Sarah and didn’t disappoint... thanks very much to Kate.
I’m glad you watched it and reported your thoughts here. I’m cold and sneezing. I’ll find you tomorrow, er, I mean later today.
Sarah Dad had the last words... did you catch ‘em? LOL.
Did you, nutmeg?
A few places I've slept (land oilfield work), a tent would have been a big step up.
Back in the day, while hunting, a tent or sleeping bag in a covered pick up truck bed was fun, but you have to have a little spirit of adventure. 3 or 4 times a year does one good to return to nature.
LLS
Probably wanted a triple dipper (seems like the type......Just saying) ;^)
That's exactly what I said, & I would have a HUGE grin from start to finish!.
I agree! Kate’s behavior was boorish tonight. If she had gotten off her @$$ and moved about, she would have warmed up. Maybe even had fun with her kids and the Palins.
I imagine that was hard for Piper since she liked the show so much.
Its 1:05am monday, I was busy sunday night but I had her show recorded, I’m watching it right now. That was pretty educational about a bear charging at you and how much time you have to get off as many shots possible.
Arguably a pump action is more reliable but I carry an old but completely restored Winchester Model 11 semi-auto 12 gauge.
With one in chamber all you do is keep pulling the trigger.
Its basically identical to the Browning A5 except mine only uses 2 3/4” shells, but I know I can empty it faster than using a pump action, the barrel is only 19” long. First two rounds are 00 buck and the rest are rifled slugs.
Her gun shop Chimos used to be a lot bigger but when Sportsmen Warehouse moved into Wasilla they downsized, I know those guys behind the counter. And then ironically Sportsmen Warehouse almost closed its doors, its a good place to get almost anything but Chimos to me will be more informative and specialized.
Whats kinda funny is that most Alaskans when they go camping they do it by motorhome and I know the Palins have a really nice one at there disposal, flying out to the bush is of course real camping and is less likely to have the paparazzi around. Myself I prefer to have an RV or a trailer, even in the summer it can be cold at night, you have a place to get away from the bugs and you have a bit more security.
This summer and when this episode was filmed was very wet, it set records on the consecutive days of rain we had up here, I ride a motorcycle but usually only on my days off and on weekends and there wasn’t a whole heck of a lot of sunny weekends last summer.
In the beginning of the show she was climbing The Butte, its a huge volcanic “knob” that sticks out in the SE part of the valley and can be seen almost all over. There is a lot of farms all around it and was where the original settlers enlisted from Wisconsin and Minnesota and such back in around 1930. The rivers which are two is the Knik and the Matanuska.
There is a big airport at Palmer where both firefighting aircraft are stationed and air freight specialist. I was kinda surprised to see an ultralight there, yes we have quite a few of them but they usually hang out up near Birchwood.
Little by little we see a bit of Alaska, myself I wish she would do more about Wasilla, Palmer and the highway to Fairbanks.
