John Boehner thinks President Barack Obama is engaging, smart and brilliant

What a stupid statement. The frickin' Republicans will never learn will they?

It may be boilerplate (or it may not), but I agree with you that it is stupid for any Republican to ever have said such a thing, and doubly so now.

And no, the Republicans don't seem to learn... at least not the ones who refuse to enjoy a good "cuppa" with the rest of us.

There’s a reason he said that.....because in the next sentence he denigrated Obama....it’s standard procedure. Plus, I don’t think Boehner really believes he’s “brilliant”....but, will say it to get heard. PSYCHO-Politics

It would be stupid to say, even if it were true.
I consider Obambie to be mediocre at best.
Like many con artist, he could be engaging if not for his narcissism.

I was thinking the same thing when I read this. The zero is not brilliant, he is an affirmative action stooge and puppet for Soros and that’s that!

I think Boehner should continue to take the high road and let the troops nail Obama where he stands. We here, at FR,,we are the troops! John doesn’t need to worry about the heat,,we’ve got his back, esp when it comes to President Obama!

Not stupid, it’s ok to pat your enemy on the back to locate the best spot for the knife

Or...is he baiting him? Boehner's later comment about golfing with Pres. Obama because "you can’t be somebody that you’re not, because all of you shows up,” is quite....provocative.
