A politically correct West Village YMCA has fired Ol' St. Nick in favor of Frosty.
Kids who once thrilled at sitting on Santa's lap at the 14th Street McBurney YMCA's wildly popular annual holiday luncheon will now suffer the icy embrace of a talking snowman and his sidekick, an anonymous penguin, at today's event.
Forget about bringing a list or checking it twice -- Frosty doesn't take gift requests, and doesn't care if you're naughty or nice.
YMCA officials, who say they are in the midst of "rebranding" the Young Men's Christian Association to "The Y," defended their decision.

The third world finds celebrating a benevolent Norseman difficult? What’s the surprise here? You paid for the ticket, enjoy the ride.
Many, most, all? organizations stray from their original mission. Thus the need to reinvent them.
Want a good project?
Go to “The Y” and ask to speak to a Christian guidance counselor or Missionary.
After they freak out (and you stop laughing} Sue the hell out of them for discrimination and false advertising.
The city successfully recovered the property.
The "Y" as it exists today ought to be shunned and closed.

I’m Jewish and I think this is ridiculous! The C in YMCA stands for “CHIRSTIAN”! What the heck is wrong with these people????
Apparently it’s a local thing in NYC. In little old Pickens, SC, the “Y” is decorated for Chistmas.
They operate tax FREE in our state. Is it that way everywhere? Around here, the YMCA’s are Taj-Mahal gyms in affluent communities and paying 0 taxes on the membership dues. Time to tax the Y. They are not Christian, religious, or charitable. They should be forced to compete in the marketplace fair and square. If the government wants to give access to gyms to poor people they can just give them gym credits to use anywhere or to purchase gym equipment. Tax the Y!

I always associate Frosty with Christmas too so I don’t think they really changed much.

I think the “taint” of Christianity has been pretty well removed from Santa Claus. I’m surprised they even worry about it.
Don't mention it. Religious Jews stand with our Christian brothers and sisters. I personally view any expansion of Christian influence as vital to our nation and to Western Civilization. I went to sing Christmas carols in NJ a few years back with Steve Lonegan just to stick it to the humanists. I would love to organize a Jewish Caroling group to confuse the crap out of the media and end this madness.
