In the Bible there is the story of the sanctimonious twit who criticized the woman for using expensive oils to annoint the feet of the Christ. Used the same schtick--"That oil could have been sold and the proceeds given to the poor." Jesus rebuked the sanctimonious twit.
Ask the parents of the children who do not have clean water to drink if they would rather have water purification tablets or a photo-op with Bristol Palin. I think (hope) that you know what the answer would be.
Neither you nor the other cultists here have any real-world, first hand knowledge of what is going on in Haiti or what is needed. I do. And, it is not a visit from Palin or any other celebrity.
If it had been Michelle making the visit you would accurately condemn it as nothing but a photo-op. It is absolute hypocrisy to pretend that this is any different.
