Oh, Ill bet they were. Say what you will about Axe, Gibbsy, and the rest of the crew, but Id like to think they have the basic political common sense to avoid photo ops where the president has to skip out after a minute or two to go eat gingerbread cookies.
Id like to think The One had the same basic political common sense, but we learn something new every day, dont we?
The leader of the free world and the ex-leader wandered a deserted hallway, past the offices of the senior advisers, only to discover the door to the press corps briefing room locked.

>So who does that leave in the chain of succession....oh no....
Nancy is next in line, but only if 0 and Biteme both drop out before January. Then its Boehner!
I think you’re missing the point I was making. I’m not talking about a legacy. I’m talking about how much he liked and enjoyed the office, and when he left, he wasn’t haggard and gray like so many other presidents.
Men of real conscience are usually very happy to leave. It’s a burden hard to bear. They age. Have you seen Bush giving interviews? He’s thrilled. He’s “fairly out, and you are fairly in. Let’s see who is happiest!”, as Adams thought Washington was thinking.
Clinton loved the office, and was up to the difficulties of it. When he left, he was so unwilling to leave he gave a speech at a hangar! And today, even though I think his health is giving him problems, he sparkled at that podium.
As a side note, I took a good look at Obama. He is NOT happy. The crossed arms, the clenched jaw, the forced smile, the hand up at his face. Then walking out while Clinton did his thing.
Obama is in real trouble. My guess is the Clintons are moving in on this inadequate man. I don’t know what they have up their sleeve, but they are in the game again, and they are having a great time.
Being leader of the country is his job. If he doesn’t have the cajones to stand up to his wife or the press or bill Clinton then he needs to go do sonething else.
I will be Captain Obvious and say Obama is an idiot.
wish I had said that
I don't know whether to laugh or cry...
I’m still in shock! This is far more than than bizzare...it would have been bad enough had Bo stayed...but he left! And when you factor in his rant to both sides of the aisle the other day...my gosh the guy is imploding! What is truly more than uneasy is how the foreign leaders are going to take this...no doubt they will feel emboldened all the more than they already have been since Bo took office. For crying out loud...who is running the country was just braodcasted worldwide!
I would say, just a guess you understand, that the reason for your Deja VU is because of the one or two hundred other threads on this subject today.
Just remember that Nancy P is in line after Biden....Pray hard that if he is removed or steps down it is not until after Boehner is in office.
The only individual who might be as natural a politician as President Bill Clinton is Governor Sarah Palin. What other “failed” vice presidential candidate ever came back and made themselves into the powerhouse that she’s become? Who else had to put up with 24/7 vilification from the press, academia, Hollywood, Broadway, TV and all the rest? And with only a handful of advisors and aides, to boot.
-0: that dirty sonofa .... he snookered me!

Another classic Clinton moment about BHO:
Whoa, I had to save that debate video, it’s just too good. I had forgotten all about that exchange. If anyone thinks that Bill or Hillary have forgotten all the things that arrogant sob said and did, they are sadly mistaken. The Clintons are shrewd and they will sink right down to Obama’s level.
When the wikileaks came out and Hillary got slammed I thought to myself, hmmmmm, and suspected that Obongo was possibly behind some of the leaks. Then Hillary announced she was finished with politics forever, she would not run for anything again. She sounded defiant and pissed off. If the Clintons want to bring O down, they can and will. I think at this point and especially after today, he has become an albatross around the neck of the Democrats. I think they want him out of there asap. I don’t think they trust him, I don’t think they like him. I think they know MO and Jarrett are running the show. I think they know that all they care about is keeping their freebies, perks and gravy train for 6 more years.
but ya think Bill Clinton has forgotten this stuff, or the way the-0 gang intimated he was racist?
______________
NEVER in a million years.
Only if the pres and VP both die at the same time(or are incapacitated in some other manner), then the Speaker would take over. However, if Biden took over he gets to appoint his own VP and there is nothing stopping him from appointing Pukeosi.
Oh no I was really hoping there actually is a Santa Claus
I think that the Wikileaks has made the Hildebeast toast. There is stuff out there about her that makes her radioactive as POTUS. Bill Clinton knows it too, I am sure.
My guess is that Bill Clinton will run for a third term.
Under the 20th Amendment, when Congress has designated a person who is not eligible to hold the office President, the eligible person who has been certified elected as Vice President shall serve as "Acting President".
An Acting President does not, under the Constitution, succeed to the position of President in the event the ineligible person ceases to serve. Instead, the Amendment provides a method for designating an eligible person to serve as President.
Joe might get it by a back door route. If it happens before the existing session of Congress dissolves, it's likely to be either Mrs. Clinton or Nancy. After the 212th Session is installed, it is not clear.
