'Greener' Climate Prediction Shows Plants Slow Warming

A new NASA computer modeling effort has found that additional growth of plants and trees in a world with doubled atmospheric carbon dioxide levels would create a new negative feedback -- a cooling effect -- in the Earth's climate system that could work to reduce future global warming. The cooling effect would be -0.3 degrees Celsius (C) (-0.5 Fahrenheit (F)) globally and -0.6 degrees C (-1.1 F) over land, compared to simulations where the feedback was not included, said Lahouari Bounoua, of Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Md. Bounoua is lead author on a paper detailing the results published Dec. 7 in the journal Geophysical Research Letters. Without the negative feedback included, the model found a warming of 1.94 degrees C globally when carbon dioxide was doubled.

I agree completely with your assessment. I was not being precise, but I DO think it is the case that there has been a lot of funding available for climate research. The END result is the same, but your pathway you described is more accurate...

This is a subject for which logic has been marginal for some time now, and that is entirely the fault of the supporters of AGW, as they have vilified anyone who even suggests their theory is seriously and fatally flawed.

If you say Global Warming theories are nothing but a scam to drive up energy prices by radical leftists like Obama and Gore and then to use that money to enslave you, then you are called a DENIER.

Why are socialists so afraid of their own ideology?

Because at its core leftism is motivated by envy. They can't say out loud what they are really up to without being shamed. Envy is a master of disguise, and socialism is just one of them, a socially acceptable moral wrapper. It's easy to think of others. Envy is dangerous because it can explode into hostility such as murder, destruction, and war. Envy needs to be redirected either into healthy competition or humility. This is done by calling out envy in public causing the envier the pain of shame. The envier will aways deny it, but an angry reaction is evidence of a direct hit.

I’ve got news for you. The gulf stream doesn’t keep the East Coast warm. Maybe in South Carolina, but in the Northeast winters are very cold. It is currently 21F in Boston at 10:30am.
