This was filmed during an undercover mission. Probably by another N. Korean, who also has to watch his/her back. Not sure he/she gave her something to eat.

That is the perfect question. The sad part is the answer is that they are liberals- they claim to be compassionate but really they are apathetic. It just doesn't occur to them. They are too busy asking why someone else doesn't do something while they munch on a snicker's bar in front of a starving young woman.

That would be in violation of The Prime Directive.

It makes me very angry when news people have a situation where they could help but don’t.

I'm sure there's a good answer. Like they did feed her, but were not with her long enough to make a difference. Or, their minder wouldn't allow it perhaps.

According to Kim Dong Cheol, who interviewed the girl in South Pyongan Province while he was doing some research inside North Korea in June, she died on or around October 20th.”

There was 4 months between the interview and approximate time of death. They probably gave her what they could. The camera was an undercover camera. She did not know she was being filmed. Was reported in another article if not here.

Perhaps they did. She was interviewed in June and died in October.

For all we know, she may have been given a full two months worth of food. How many pounds of food is that? Sixty pounds of rice, let's say, just to pick a number.

How much food did the interviewer have? Even if the interviewer had 600 pounds of food to give her, would you expect that she would eat while others around her starve? Or would she share with the ten people she most cared about?

Even if she chose not to share, others may have taken her food by force. Whatever the case, it is easy to imagine that any food she got would last only two months. That would leave two months of starvation to end her life.

Most Americans are very ignorant of just how much work goes into creating the immense amount of food that we assume will always be in our supermarkets. Those same Americans are constantly supporting policies which threaten the ability to create and deliver that food at prices almost everyone here can afford.

I truly believe that what happens in North Korea CAN HAPPEN HERE! It only requires that we adopt their practices.

It makes me sick, they always say they don't want to "get involved in the story."

The starving women was the "normal" for North Korea. Please get a copy and read The Aquariums of Pyongyang: Ten Years in the North Korean Gulag.

This is one book that can give you a sense of "reality" of what NK is about.

You made a good point.... the liberals are always in their self righteous mode being critical of Conservatives and people who have wealth for not helping the poor, but, yet, where is the liberal's outrage of this poor woman in North Korea starving to death ?
No matter what liberals say , they are the world's biggest hypocrites and what that say out of their mouth is not what they really believe in their hearts.

Are you sure they didn’t? What were they supposed to do after feeding her, carry her out to China?

Because like all liberals, they are only generous with other people's money.
