That would be in violation of The Prime Directive.

The one on the left is an arrogant abusive pig, while the one on the right at least looks cute.

It makes me very angry when news people have a situation where they could help but don’t.

If the US, SK and elements of NK could topple the Kim’s “quietly” and install a pretender government that could make slow changes we might avoid a war.
The south might not be able to absorb the north but they can certainly help keep it from starvation. With reforms (death of communism) and demilitarizations, the north could improve with help.

remember “March of the Penguins”??
Baby Pengiun falls into a hole a foot deep and the camera crew would just record it starve to death unless mommy or daddy come and save it. They call it ‘being objective’.
They think its a virtue.

WHY THE HELL DIDNT THE NEWSPEOPLE WHO INTERVIEWED HER FEED HER?I'm sure there's a good answer. Like they did feed her, but were not with her long enough to make a difference. Or, their minder wouldn't allow it perhaps.

Those are well cultivated fields in those pics. Also in those pics the girl doesn’t look all that starved, maybe malnutritioned but not starved to death.I’m just sayin, it takes alot for someone to actualy starve to death.

It is SK's plan to establish satellite regime in NK and start gradual unification. NK has to develop on its own merit. Its cheap labor should be used to its advantage, unlike German case, where W. Germany tried to bring up E. Germans to W. German level overnight. W. Germany should have kept E. Germany as its satellite and develop it by treating it as another Czech Republic for some duration.
In W. Germany' case, they had a choice. in SK's case, they have no choice but to take the path of NK as a satellite regime. Externally, Korea would be one. Internally it would be made of two distinct blocs, with border control and (probably) separate currency.
That's the idea. Whether the plan can survive the chaos of NK regime's breakup is another question. NK is not going to quietly phase itself out. China won't cooperate in that regard either. The only choice is a messy uncontrollable process.

I had forgotten the term "kotjebi".
"Kotjebi or kotchebi (꽃제비) is a Korean term denoting North Korean homeless children. The term literally means "fluttering swallows", given because of the kotjebi's constant search for food and shelter.[1] The kotjebi are not officially recognized in North Korea, with any mention of the term being prohibited in state publications and documents.
The kotjebi are constantly forced to seek food and thus gather in groups to beg and pickpocket.[2] Most of the kotjebi eat only once a day. The diet of the kotjebi, along with the food they obtain from begging, consists mainly of grass soup, wild vegetable porridge, and grass roots."
Reduced to eating grass and tree bark. No telling what stories of survival will come out from NK when they collapse.
Probably worse than Stalingrad stories.

They’ll need to promise China to demilitarize the entire northern part of the country probably.

The field you see is probably family plots on a hill. Everybody in N. Korea tries to secure a small plot of land outside government farm, and grow their own food there. These plots are not government sanctioned. Gov. reluctantly leave them alone, but crack down on them from time to time. The plot makes many N. Koreans survive, but barely.
As for technical assessment of her health, I don't know whether her condition falls into malnutrition or starvation. Seems she is awfully emaciated even compared with other ordinary N. Koreans.

She was also a victim of that impractical plan. It's got to be her fault. Some folks get very fat under that plan and just love it.
