Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is heading to Haiti this weekend with evangelist Franklin Graham, a Palin source confirmed to POLITICO.
Palin and Graham will visit a cholera clinic in addition to other stops, as was first reported by CNN.
The Haiti visit was the second foreign trip to surface Thursday. Palin is also planning possible visits next year to Israel and Britain.
The Haiti trip could serve two distinct political purposes for Palin.
First, it provides an opportunity to expand her image and policy portfolio beyond her limited image as a darling of the tea party movement.
Second, she'll be able to better establish her claim to evangelical voters if she chooses to seek the Republican presidential nomination. Evangelicals overwhelmingly supported former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, one of Palin's potential 2012 rivals, in the early 2008 GOP primaries and caucuses.

I believe she's always careful, but pray extra for her safety and for the people of Haiti. She's not going for the photo-op. She's going with Franklin Graham and his Ministry for the right reasons. The cameras follow "her."
God Bless’em both.
God’s speed Sarah Palin and Franklin Graham.
Oh please, none of us are aware of what Christian acts she does which are never mentioned. She is one busy lady, and I suppose this is a correlated trip with Franklin.
Lighten up Francis!
Explain, if you could.
Sarah Palin and Franklin Graham doing God’s work! God bless them both!
Thanks for posting JP! :)
Haiti is the victim of poor government and corruption. It could be a garden spot if corruption was cut 40% We should help them for one reason—get their nation going with jobs and hope and their people will not come to the USA and go on welfare. That is a Christian thing to do and a smart one too. We need to make it a viable tourist spot.
If bullshit were asphalt you could pave a road around the world...and back.
thanks for an excellant reply...I was expressing my frustration at how the money and aid is “lost” and the situation never changes.
Maybe Christians should read the numerous studies out now that show our “AID” as it is done and has been done , only makes the situation worse...many of the articles written on this are by astute natives about their own country’s hx with ‘aid”.
Brilliant idea.
I got flamed, ha...but since when is being “christian” equated with enabling and being stupid....That’s an ego trip.

Have YOU been there?

Read your Bible... but for the soul of one good man.

uH, NO...LET’S POUR MORE MONEY INTO THAT PLACE....
Let’s not look at the reality of funding these aids projects and how it contributes to the worsening situation...Lets just do what the Rock and Roll geniuses have done in the last few decades and how it has made everything worse.
Whatever we do...let’s just tell ourselves we are “good Christians helping suffering souls”, send a check and continue to enable and make worse these fiascos...Before you flame me, how about you do a little reading and research into decades of “helping these poor people”...read about what their OWN people write about this.
It is time that Christian ministries ‘wise up” and learn the realities of their interference. Probably Graham DOES understand this more than most and most likely does some good.
If you don’t want Haitians coming here...then either
a) Take over their country
b) enforce immigration and borders.
It is because of Graham that I support this particular mission.

The same reason that is outlined in post 67.
To much wasted money and attention and it is not really helping them at all. The country does not want to be helped any way and have said so.
How long and how much do you want to dump in to the country?
They probably were afraid to help...they’d be sent to prison no doubt.
I do believe they know their government is responsible for their plight...at least of recent we hear they are aware somewhat by some. It took years to brainwash these people...it will take a worldwide effort to loosen the hold on their minds.
It isn’t people refuse to help them....but the Government has made it impossible to do so. Until their is other governance this will continue even if most of them cannot grasp that reason.
