Reid may go ahead on "don't ask, don't tell" without Collins (Collins "Demands Days of Debate")

The Maine Republican demands days of debate that the Senate may not have time for

The DREAM Act is probably dead, and now the repeal of "don't ask, don't tell" hangs in the balance. This morning, things looked good. But it all may be falling apart. Or not.

No one seems to know exactly where everyone stands. It looked like Maine Senator Susan Collins agreed to vote for the defense authorization bill in exchange for four days of floor debate and 15 amendments, but Reid might think that's just another delaying tactic. So... Reid may hold a vote today, or this week, in which case Collins will almost certainly vote against it.

Reid might think that Collins' demands are actually impossible to meet, given the time-frame. (Reid might be right, too, even if Joe Lieberman forces everyone to work over Christmas.) And with House Democrats making waves over the Obama tax cut deal, Collins could still "regretfully" torpedo "don't ask, don't tell" even if she is promised everything she wants, because of that pledge to block everything until our richest citizens are properly taken care of.

So if Reid thinks Collins is making impossible demands, he'll hold a vote without her, and it will fail, and I dunno, I guess we can just blame both of them.

Reid is absolutely desperate to do something reprehensible in the lame duck congress, just to prove he can.

This must be passed now, we do not have time to talk about it. The world will end or something like that. This is how the dems operate, they just keep jamming it down our throats.

Reid has been desperate since birth. It is a sad tale. It’s tough to be a rat.

Mormons must be so proud. I know Thomas S. Monson and Dallin Oaks are, Reid got them into see their buddy Obama. I guess supporting abortion, gay marriage, marxism, gambling and prostitution only keeps NON SENATORIAL MORMONS OUT OF THE TEMPLE. Only thing missing in this pic is Massachusetts liberal RINO Romney....

I hadnt heard that Collins was leaning yes. Did her office tell you that or did you read it somewhere?

Good news that Snowe is now a NO.

Homosexuals want your little boys—their desire for boys is fixated at the age they were perverted into the lifestyle. Pederasty ALWAYS becomes part of the homosexual “good” lifestyles. They kill all sexual morality codes—make Christian religion obsolete— so they will gain legal access to boys so they can seduce them into the lifestyle.

It is a learned behavior...like all behaviors....but it is particularly evil because it perverts the sexual identity of a person while it is in formation—in childhood.

It can be emotional abuse only—the denigration of the masculine self which is being done in all public schools now. Physical abuse is the main way a child is brought into that lifestyle though.

Condoning homosexuality is advocating child abuse.

I have a life, what I don't have is a conservative senate majority leader.

I know all about Temple Recommned interviews, I used to give them. My ancestors built the Logan Temple, and that's where I was "sealed"....Left the church after trying to disprove that Brigham Young taught that Chirst was a married polygamist and father. It's written right in the "Journal of Discourses".

The LDS Hierarchy is giving Reid a pass. How corrupt.

Down with Reid, down with Romney. Ezra Taft Benson would have excommunicated them both.
