If it’s good enough for Americans, it’s good enough for Indians (or anyone else)

>> why should the Indian Ambassador not be treated the same? <<

Because she has diplomatic immunity, just as the U.S. Ambassador to India has diplomatic immunity over there.

It’s OK Hillary, you can make it up by hand raping my 15 year old virgin daughter! We can’t insult foreigners you know.

Do I really need a /s?

I wouldn’t want to pat down Hillary even with oven mittens.

Indians should do same with US diplomatic staff. That will be really good.
I can bet this may happen soon.

I appreciate your point made on diplomatic immunity. Los Angeles airport just hosted two weeks training under muslim tutorship on how to screen those of the islamic faith - but it appears not as much time has been spent on training agents how to treat foreign diplomats. It occurs to me the TSA is holding America hostage in a way (to use a Dem buzzword) - either as pressure to allow them to organize (NO) or as pressure for a pay raise (NO).

Our lawmakers say, that by voting for them, we give them permission to create agencies to meet the needs of the citizens. Yet there is very little direct congressional oversight of these created agencies - they have a life of their own and seem to answer to noone. It is time for us to say to our lawmakers, that it's time to rein the TSA back on their haunches (along with a few dozen other agencies). IMO

Ever since I left DOD to work for State, TSA has made my life miserable. As a US Diplomatic Passport Holder, I am sure we are harrassed as TSA General Policy. I say if it is good enough for the rank and file US Dept of State employees, then it is certainly good enough for foreign dignitaries. <pOur SecState should have used this as an opportunity to draw attention to this plight afflicting diplomates of all countries and not just expressing a mindless concerned with patdowns, rather request we be treated with diplomatic courtesy - perhaps his country earned him this little pat on the back:)

“Outrageous! Patdowns are only for the serifs!”

I demand patdowns for sans serifs, too!

(sorry, that was so cute I couldn’t resist :)

>>>>>>Why is it unacceptable? If normal Americans have to be patted down even though they aren’t a threat, why should the Indian Ambassador not be treated the same?<<<<<

Normal Americans do not accept humiliation.

Sheeple do.

because of diplomatic immunity. It would be different if he came as private citizen — then he would have to follow the same rules as everyone else.
