Wisconsin has no need for high speed rail. this was just a ploy to get the Wisconsin taxpayers to pay for the rail lines in Illinois. Having grown up in Wisconsin you can get from Milwaukee to Madison in less than 2 hours. i have been through Ohio on the tollway = there is no need for the high speed rail too.
It is not high speed rail that the liberals desire it is the desire for social engineering - get everyone to live on the rail line - no need for expressways and suburbs, no need for cars.

And it wasn’t a “high speed” train at all. It was supposed to operate at 70 mph. Cars operate at 70 mph and take you where you want to go.
