Well Greg, that statement is incorrect on both counts.

First, he was elected by the Electoral Congress, not the people.
Secondly, there was a significant breach of the statutory process by which the Congress during its January, 2009 Joint Session certified the results of that Electoral College, and the process is open for corrective action by a subsequent Congress.
