Funny how all these Hollywood Ecofreaks don’t mind travelling to some remote jungle and setting up camp with tons of equipment, changing the local environment, killing off those pesky mosquitoes, clearing animal habitats to make room for the cameras.
Sure, I have a hard time understanding how caribou meat could be a paying proposition when they are paying for a 600 mile flight up to a base camp in the Arctic Circle, then another 80 mile or so flight in a Piper Cub to the hunting area, but it is television, made to introduce the rest of the country to Alaska.
I'm sure they could have found caribou further south. But there was an educational value in showing the type of country near ANWR, which the green nazis have closed off for energy extraction.
This isn't excatly the truth. Wildlife thinning has been going on for years, whether or not one disagrees with the practice. The left characterizes Palin as someone who decides to go kill animals on a lark.
I can't make a distinction between what Sorkin does, and kiddie porn.
She gets nothing but kudos from me for going out there, hunting and killing her own food. I personally prefer to just go to the supermarket; however, my market is NOT 400 miles away!
Yet Aaron Sorkin makes his money off of movies which glorify the killing of humans for fun, and profit.

I saw the episode (she missed four times using her dads gun then used a friends and nailed it on the first shot with that one). They said MULTIPLE times that they were hunting to fill the freezer for the winter. They then did exactly that - dressed the kill, humped the meat home finished up in the garage and froze the meat.

You have to parse the words through the filter of someone pandering to the logical conclusion crowd of “meat is murder”, there is no reason to hunt for food, that is what grocery stores are for. But they really want to criminalize livestock production and consumption. Pay attention to this stuff because while they will not come out publicly and say this, that is their end game and they will use the courts and legislation and public policy to effect this. We’re seeing the groundwork being laid down further via “climate change” propaganda, water pollution mandates, etc. Of course it *sounds* crazy, but so did a bunch of things not so long ago, that are now shoved down the craw of a seemingly clueless public.
It is issues such as this that in aggregate suggest to many commentators that the system is too far gone for any meaningful reform and that a “hard reset” is indicated. There is simply far too much geographic and demographic diversity to find a common ground, and the notion that elites dictate how everyone should live will mercifully pass. Not good job prospects for the control-freak bureaucrats but perhaps they will finally find honest and honorable employment.
The quality of Sorkin’s words is directly proportional to the amount of cocaine Sorkin snorts (or smokes) prior to writing them.
Either he didn’t get his fix or Palin’s an instant buzzkill for him, because this screed is beyond unreadable. He’s a good writer, but you’d never know it read this. Maybe he’s just trying to fit in with the other John-Roger worshipping cultist hacks at HuffPo.

Whenever I see “mushrooms” in that context, I first think of Christopher Lloyd’s “Jim” telling a story about mushrooms, and then I think of Sorkin.
