A former Iranian diplomat who defected to the West this year said Tuesday he saw North Korean technicians repeatedly travel to Iran, which Western officials fear is trying to develop nuclear weapons.

Mohammad Reza Heydari, who resigned in January from his post as Iranian consul in Norway, said he's "certain" the cooperation is continuing between his home country and North Korea.

The comments at a Paris think tank conference come amid rising international concerns that North Korea, which has already staged atomic tests, is cooperating with Iran on its nuclear program

George Bush described this as the Axis of Evil almost 10 years ago. The Democrats ridiculed him and said he was stupid. It seems he was right.

North Korea cooperates with a LOT of enemies of the United States.

Then even he, W, backtracked and was eventually bought off and neutralized, witness the final two years of his Administration (2008-2009) and the deplorable foreign policy he carried out re: North Korea as administered by the pathetic, naive likes of Condoleeza Rice and Christopher Hill.

NOW look what we have to show for this shortsighted Bush nonsense, when he was SO on track in the early part of his first Administration.

The fact that Bush was right early in his administration led to ridicule and continual attacks by the Democrats and the MSM. When Condi Rice and others screwed up later on they were not attacked and were treated as well as any of the Bush Administration people were.

The recent actions of the Obama Administration which have been a total disaster and may lead to war in the Pacific are also not attacked by the MSM and the Washington elites.

Unfortunately, although that may describe the 2001 to 2003 or 2004 initial phase only of the W Presidency and liberals' heads indeed did explode over it, the truth hurts. And the fact of the matter is, he is as guilty as the Democrats over this whole Korean Peninsula fiasco. Kindly do yourself a favor and join the ongoing North Korean threads here on FR which for over 10 years have taken apart both a) the North Korean regime; and b) abject appeasement of it by Washington through both Democrat and Republican Administrations alike.

I am happy to debate anyone on this forum about the record of George W. Bush, now-silent Condoleeza Rice and their top negotiator, Christopher Hill, when it comes to the handling of North Korea whilst the DPRK built up their arsenal and screwed the West (and Washington) seven ways to Sunday, based upon a combination of their Asian cleverness and our Western naivete and benevolent idiocy.

Looks like the bill will be due any day, and the paymaster is Barack Hussein Obama.

Thanks. BTW, I really liked M*A*S*H ..
Obviously it goes way back before Bush II. Maybe they can help further, and spread Islam in N.Korea, like they did in the ME, and, this time, call it ‘moderate Islam’.
Way I see it, the American “wheelers & dealers” have temp & short term vision, but have mostly, and politically, failed miserably at long term ones, particularly when the failure involves the long term vision in their own interest & especially that of the American nation, never mind other ones.
