Senate leaders are finalizing details on a one-year deal on the Medicare “doc-fix,” sources close to the negotiations say.

The tentative deal prevents a deep cut in Medicare doctors’ payments with changes in how much money consumers would have to repay if they receive too large a subsidy in the health insurance exchanges after 2014.

How about abolishing the exchanges.

I wonder how many GOP votes it’ll get?? Probably tons.

“Deal”? What “deal”? If Hussein’s DeathCare Plan continues, there is no DEAL. Only misery.

This provision in Obama-care was responsible for a large portion of the "savings" that supporters touted.

By "fixing" it, they mean they are restoring the payments to previous levels. And with that fix, most of the "savings" alleged for Obama care goes out the window.

Of course, this "fix" was expected -- and is why the claim of saving money was fraudulent.

This is supposedly for only one year. They'll extend it next year, and the year after that, until it's permanent by default.

Why just this afternoon I heard the Won tell me that insurance premiums were going to go down and that Obamacare was a great accomplishment.

What are they going to do about the additional 10% cut for 2011 that goes into effect next year? Or the other 20% for the next 2 yrs? This will just stave off the first wave of cuts to Medicare.

And doctors are starting to turn down Medicare patients. And if you are also Medicare and Tricare For Life (over 65 Ret. Military) this is a disaster. Both are admined out of the same agency.

Yep. Doctors like me are overpaid. LOL. I am changing jobs and moving this year. I can not and will not take care of 60% Medicare and Medicaid patients any more. I will make almost twice as much and just have to do clinic work. No hospital, No call, No OB. I am through trying to save the world and need to finally think of myself just a little. I see about 5,500 patients a year now just in the clinic make the same I did 17 years ago. I am just tired.

Well, thanks for your kind service in the past. I don't blame you at all, you have to take care of yourself and your family. I hate what is happening to our people in the medical professions. The young, the misinformed, and the envious who voted this socialist party into power will one day cry for forgiveness and wish for what they once had. I hope you find happiness and fulfillment in your new job.
