Although I don’t always agree with Larry King, years ago on his radio
show he’d play (AFAIK) a WWII-era version of “I’ll Be Home For Christmas
by Sinatra.
I suspect more than a few military personnel got a bit drippy hearing this
on radios while far away from home at Christmas.

I’m always suprised at how many kids fudged on their age to get in
the military...and proceeded to perform bravely.
OMGoodness!!!!! How beautiful! My son is 10th mountain div in Afghanistan now and my daughter is aboard the USS Paul Hamilton on her way to the gulf now. This pic has me sobbing! This won’t be the best christmas we’ve ever had
When my husband came home from a years tour overseas, we suprised his mother at the bowling alley. I thought she was going to faint. We had the whole place cheering and crying. When we went to his brother’s, his brother opened the door, stared, then shut it!! My marine knew better than to suprise me, as we had a couple of days together before I had to share him.
I can’t quite make out the picture - is that a real person standing there??
