I had a strange experience once after driving at night for 8 hours straight at 110 mph while drinking lots of coffee. I was in the desert, but I could have sworn that I was driving through deep woods. The sun came up shortly thereafter, and then things returned to normal.
Please note that I wouldn't recommend doing this sort of thing. It's hazardous in more ways than one! And, no, I did not receive any traffic citations.
My sleep-deprivation induced hallucinations usually involve wild animals...typically bears and wild boars. At about the 36 hour mark, those suckers start jumping out at me from nowhere!
