Leaked cables reveal a presidency's ongoing national security failures.
And the hits just keep on coming from WikiLeaks. It seems every new day brings fresh revelations about just how unimportant the security of our nation is to the president of the United States. As loathsome as the effeminate waif Julian Assange is, if we had to suffer damage to our country by his hands, at least we learned about our own enemy within.
The leaked memos confirm that our leaders are fully aware that our nations enemies are engaging in activities to undermine the United States. Yet armed with this knowledge, Barack Obama continues his foreign policy of appeasement. Weve learned that terrorists now have access to nuclear material through a known state sponsor of terror. And the presidents inept policy of lets just talk more remains the administrations de facto position. It seems that all this foreign affairs stuff is just a distraction to this president. Its really cutting into to his agenda of remaking America. It is now all too clear that defending this nation from our enemies is the last thing on the presidents mind. In this case, what we dont know will hurt us.
WikiLeaks documents have provided us with this timeline (from the Wall Street Journal):
Anyone else see a pattern here? Its clear that President Obama is an ideological ally of the leadership in China. But hes still Americas president, right?
Add to all of this the revelation that U.S. officials believe that Beijing ordered a cyber-attack on the U.S. in which 15 percent of the world’s Internet traffic was diverted through Chinese servers for 18 minutes last spring. China is a hostile adversary to the United States. Yet the Obama administration pursues fiscal policies that continually leave us at the economic mercy of that Communist nation. Obama and his cronies continue to borrow and spend us into Chinese dependency. Is it any wonder why the administration didnt want us to know the extent of Chinas treachery? If the American people had known, they would have demanded action. And the president of the United States would have to admit that he has maneuvered us into an economic position that has zero leverage to effectively deal with an ever-aggressive China. Now that we do know, it might serve national security interest to remind the president as we head toward 2012.
Iran continues its march toward a nuclear weapon. President Bush declared that Iran would not attain a nuclear weapon on his watch. The state sponsor of terror has received no such warning from our current president. Here are Mr. Obamas views as articulated in Cairo, Egypt, in 2009: I understand those who protest that some countries have weapons that others do not. No single nation should pick and choose which nations hold nuclear weapons. That is why I strongly reaffirmed America’s commitment to seek a world in which no nations hold nuclear weapons. And any nation — including Iran — should have the right to access peaceful nuclear power if it complies with its responsibilities under the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. President Obamas naïve position that all nations deserve nuclear power is typical of liberals. In the presidents mind, Iran is just as entitled to the ability to wipe out vast numbers of people as is the United States. Moral equivalency is a hallmark of leftists. The United States is a nation of peace loving free people. Iran is run by a regime dedicated to the genocide of Jews and the destruction of Western civilization. But Obama sees no difference.
More WikiLeaks cables inform us that North Korea has been secretly assisting Iran to develop a weapons program under the auspices of the Chinese government. Another cable between Deputy National Security Advisor John Brennan and a Saudi prince shows that al-Qaeda now has a better chance at getting their hands on nuclear material. The Weekly Standards Thomas Joscelyn reports that the State Department knew a stunning detail about the relationship between Iran and al-Qaeda. The Saudis have privately complained to the Obama administration that Iran harbors a dangerous network of al-Qaeda operatives who are targeting the kingdom. And at the heart of the relationship is one of Osama bin Ladens little-known sons. How has this tidbit of information changed Obamas policies toward Iran? Not at all. Iran continues to press on with enriching uranium, and the Obama administration, even after knowing that al-Qaeda is setting up shop in Tehran, continues to talk and talk and talk. For a man that says hes so committed to getting nuclear weapons out of the hands of every nation on Earth, Mr. Obama doesnt seem to care that a state sponsor of terror is developing said weapons or that terrorists may attain access to those weapons.
North Korea shells the South and we hear the president is outraged. We rush to conduct military exercises with the South Koreans, but the White House quickly points out they were planned exercises. We didnt want to upset the potbellied dictator of the North it seems. Just business as usual on the foreign affairs front in Obamas America. WikiLeaks has confirmed for the American people what foreign governments already know: Barack Obama is an ideological leftist who wont stand up for his own countrys interests. The president projects weakness around the world. Our enemies smell blood in the water. And the president, undeterred by world events, plods along with his efforts to remake America into a European style socialist state.
President Obamas unwillingness to change course in foreign policy, despite knowing the grave dangers that arise from the actions of our enemies, proves that he is guilty of a dereliction of his most sacred duty. And it seems at this point that he is all too comfortable in failing in that duty: to protect and defend the people of the United States.
Bump.
Hmmmmmmmm......
I still think Hillary is behind the Wikileaks.
She is , after all, Secretary of State, and these were Department of State ‘cables’. She does have a large network of GAY friends who will do anything to help her. (Like take the credit/blame for ‘stealing’ the cables)
So far, I have noticed very little that condemns her in any way. Today’s article (THANK YOU , btw) condemns Barack and ‘elevates’ her.
Nonsense. We are all being led by the media about this Wikileaks hysteria. Everything I have seen "disclosed" has either been open source or easily inferred information. Yes, most of the so-called "leaks" were not well known and came from obscure sources that may not have been believed by the media at the time because the reports couldn't be confirmed.
I have done as much digging and posting on FR as anyone else over the last many years and nothing, nothing from Wikileaks is a new revelation to me.
Wikileaks has offered much other information on its website unrelated to the Bradley Manning stolen material, that has been interesting and new. Our media is just wallowing in self-hate mud, nothing more.
Truth and transparency can’t gain traction amongst traitors.
I was wondering how an army private had access to state department memos.
In the past, I have posted IAEA internal documents regarding Iran and Syria's nuclear efforts......to Wikileaks........
Before they were made public, sometimes weeks before. I also posted them to FR and others.
Funny though, Wikileaks never served them up until after they posted up at other sources. That's when I realized Wikileaks was a fraud.
Doing a little digging into their circle, I found that Assange and his 29 cohorts were only interested in information that made America, Britain, any military, and corporations look bad. They are a group of self-interest, mud-slingers and internet anarchists.
Now the media is making hay over every tidbit, thinking they are the next Woodward and Bernstein.

When they were ordered to share and receive data directly with other agencies using net based servers the only portal available was at the Embassy in Baghdad, run by the Army. So that's what happened.
One thing led to another, it was easy and convenient and cheaper to let the Army techs do all the data work. Unfortunately, the Army did not have an effective or quick system of restricting access to problem soldiers like Manning. He had been a discipline problem for some time and downloaded the data to use as blackmail insurance only. He was not even being watched, the Army at the time lacked NCO's at the sergeant level that were technically "geeked" enough to see what was going on.
They sure made it easy for spies, huh.
Alleged President.
Assange is just another useful idiot that BO used to leak info damaging to the USA and our Allies.

Thanks for the info. I suspected the IT work involved was ‘fast and dirty’.
Obongo tried to damage Hillary, now she will turn it around on him. Watch.

No doubt.
Seems to me that a lot of the leaks makes Obama look bad and I think it was good the world now knows the Arab’s see Iran as a threat.
Here is another revelation...
Obama official likely lied to the press
Cable shows Philip J. Crowley, who has denounced WikiLeaks, denying military operations in Yemen just before strike

Thanks gandalftb.
Their minds must be filled with all kinds of conspiracy theories. Of far left variety.
Ditto.
An Army PFC (E3) had access to STATE DEPARTMENT CABLES?
Something is rotten in the STATE OF THE UNION.
