Passing this way, for both the cancer sufferer, and their family, its a blessing and a curse. The long goodbye is a great gift... and it is so very hard to accept.

Elizabeth Edwards was not a battered, clueless woman. She was complicit in the whole ordeal with her cheating, lying husband. She knew about Rielle and the baby before he ran for Pres. and she knowingly allowed Johnnie to deceive his supporters (and hopefully the rest of the country) as well in the hopes of someday becoming FLOTUS.
It has been written that of the two, she was the more ruthless and driven....
She is not nor ever has been a victim, but rather a volunteer.
“Cast the first stone...” Anyone? Dying is tragic. Dying young is more so. Making big mistakes in life, or big sins — tragic. We’re all in it together, this human condition. Pray for her and yourself, because you never know but that God is less offended by her works than by yours.

This really is sad news. Hubby said Edwards basically killed her, which is not true of course, but I’m sure his despicable behaviour didn’t help.
How sad for her children.

Were I she, it would tick me off mightily that John-boy, that waste of skin, would be outliving me, the pile of poop. May he get as he has given.
Prayers for this woman and her children. I can’t imagine for one moment knowing you are leaving your children behind (my mind can’t even go there) and she doesn’t have a good man by her side to help. May God end her suffering and give comfort to her and her family.
Certainly the stress put upon her by her no-good ex-husband hastened the day.

She has very brave through all of this. My father died of cancer and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. May God grant her comfort and peace.
Prayers for comfort as she eases from this life to the next for her, and condolences for her family and friends. Cancer doesn’t care what party or beliefs you support, it kills indiscriminately, across the spectrum. :*(

If this report is true and she is in her last days I pray she is a peace and is kept comfortable. Part of my mind wonders though does this announcement have anything to do with keeping him from being indited?
Most patients know the end is imminent. The most amazing thing is how they worry abut other people’s feelings when they are the ones dying.
It sounds as if Mrs. Edwards has made her peace with this world and is preparing those who have been so supportive of her for what is soon to come.
