Army Navy Week Thread (Vanity)

Posted on 12/06/2010 9:53:27 AM PST by chargers fan

Alright it's that time of year again. Just thought I'd provide a space for "old grads" from both schools to do a little trash talking leading up to and including the game. Graduates of both academies fondly remember the festivities of the week prior to the game.

I hpe Army can muster to beat Navy just because the Navy
Chief of staff wants to repeal DADT and change the law sooner rather than later. But reality is I can’t recall watching an Army Navy game where Army didn’t get beat.

The Coast Guard has an academy of their own located at New London, CT. They are DIV III when it comes to football. Due to an agreement, the Naval Academy is the academy that can produce Marine officers.

Will Zero attend in support of the services? Or his waiting for DADT action in Congress?

...Army-Navy football game is one of those sporting events that is a must-see for every American sports fan at least once in their lives!

So very true!

I've been to a few, always freezing, always enjoyable.

The last one I attended was after the 2008 election, and it was President Dubya's last A/N game.

The troops were thrilled to see him (like always).

And due to a new law that permits veterans to hand-salute the flag, this vet stood proudly at attention saluting Old Glory AND Dubya!

Go NAVY! (But I hope Army has a good game, and that it's close).
