Yes,we watch the show and enjoy the each week. You have to be a special person to live in Alaska. However,we were
shocked that the Palin’s would agree to have Gosselin on the
show.
She likely had no choice---remember that Discovery/TLC is her employer, and the execs probably wanted to do a crossover episode to try and revive Gosselin's struggling show. Ever-positive Sarah is just making the most of it.
I think Gosselin was part of the original deal with TLC.
Sarah really wanted to do the show and highlight Alaska, herself and her family and lifestyle.
TLC really wanted to promote Gosselin’s reality show on the same channel.
Sarah went along. No problem.
TLC makes it a practice to cross-pollinate shows. I can remember when the American Chopper guys were front and center on an episode of Jon and Kate.
Kate doesnt annoy me because I find her kids too cute.

The contrast between the two women couldn't be much sharper or starker. Perhaps that was the actual motivation: to show the usual airheaded American woman in a real woman's world. Too bad Sarah can't convince Kathleen Parker to come up for a week in April. Or January.
