Yes, that's Catherine “Bonne Kate” Sherrill Sevier. She got her nickname when she and her family first moved to the Watauga area of Tennessee. It was a wild and dangerous area, and her family were one of the first white men to settle there. At Ft. Watauga, they were attacked by Indians. When the Indians attacked, many of the women were caught outside the gate. The other women managed to get back inside, but Catherine was caught outside when the gates closed. She started running around the fort, then heard “Jump, my bonne Kate, jump”. It was John Sevier calling to her. She did jump, and he caught her. She said in later life that she never felt so secure as when she fell into his arms. Imagine being able to jump over the fort's wall. Reminds me of Sarah climbing that mountain.
In another book it says she could mount a horse by jumping on it flat footed (not a running jump). She was a beauty and athletic. Again, it reminds me of Sarah.
