This is crap. All they have to do is cut out the illegal aliens and fat assed welfare queens and there will be plenty of money for the disabled.
The problem is pretty easy to solve. Reduce All Public Employees to no more than the MEDIAN SALARY of the Private Sector in the State, Police and Fire to receive no more than 25% above the MEDIAN SALARY of the Private Sector in the State. Abolish ALL TAXPAYER FUNDED RETIREMENT SYSTEMS, They can ALL LIVE ON SOCIAL SECURITY AND MEDICARE just like everybody else. They are not SPECIAL. But, but they have a contract? easy “No legislative body is bound by the acts of a previous legislative body” and yes this a Supreme Court Precedent, and one of the OLDEST. Failure to grasp this simple concept leads to TYRANNY AND ENSLAVEMENT. CANCEL THE DAMN THING NOW.
This women is one of the “real” disabled that society should care for, not a “wannabe” that has destroyed the ability for Americans to provide help for the truly needy. And, don’t get me started on how this stinks while we give illegals a life of luxury...

I agree completely. Plus, can’t we do something to get bipolar removed from the gravy train? True mental illness deserves compassion, but bipolar is too often used by people who mess up their lives, won’t fix it, and expect to be compensated by taxpayers. Imagine the extra $$$ that could go to help the truly disabled.
They won’t do that because they get much more mileage by reporting on how this person is losing their benefits.
“Disability” is the fastest growing scam next to and including welfare.
Including, because most if the “unwilling to work” whom I’ve known also hop on every gimmee wagon they can also scam.
Then there’s those who pop out hordes of kids who just happen to all have one salable disadvantage or another.
What needs to be done is (and I know that it will initally cost a bunch) do a follow up investigation on the disabled by say a random drawing or some such.
Hey, even a reward for turning them in. After a few are busted I’ll bet there’s a massive healing.
agree, tiki...If a person wants to claim “disability” status they need to go to an independent review to establish the facts. And, PLEASE don’t allow a doctor to sign a piece of paper like getting a handicapped parking placard to establish the facts.
Exactly! And if the government had never gotten into the welfare business, then private charities would flourish and people like this poor woman would receive even better help.
How did people survive before the age of big government? They took care of each other. Uncle Sam makes a poor substitute.
A good example of your explanation is just about the entire state of Florida. Families use to take care of their disabled and elderly, now they just dump them in Florida so the Feds and the state will have to care for them. Why do families do this? Because they can and the government will care for them.
