Sarah Paliln's meanest critics: The Conservative elite

The recent attacks on Sarah Palin by establishment conservatives make her Democratic opponents seem like wusses. The prospect of a Palin presidential candidacy in 2012 has obviously spooked the GOP elite. But do they have to be so mean?
[snip -- he goes on at length, reciting nasty talking head comments about Sarah Palin]
I wouldn't want to see Sarah Palin anywhere near the White House, let alone in the Oval Office with a nuclear arsenal at her disposal. That's not a likely scenario anyway, given her low standing among independents and Democrats.
But the notion of a phalanx of conservative elites - Palin called them "blue bloods" - standing between her and the GOP nomination because they perceive her as inferior in intellect and social and political standing is pure snobbery.
At bottom, their real slander is against Palin and her slice of the American electorate, captured in H.L. Mencken's caustic observation: "As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."
So mean.

Just one problem, they're not conservatives and most of them are media animals!
Colbert I. King makes me laugh. He truly believes he can make mischief and get a third party candidate (to keep Barack Obama in the WH after 2012) by poking Sarah Palin supporters with quotes from talking heads and some RINOS. And he is so much wanting to what? defend Sarah (nope), sink Sarah (yes), insult Sarah (yes), laugh at Sarah (yes).
That he is writing at length about Sarah Palin shows he is scared to death of the idea of having Sarah Palin at the top of a GOP ticket. Her coat tails are long and strong.
And one more thing. About this quote from H.L. Mencken -- let me supply a photo to illustrate it.

The only critisism I have of Sarah Palin is that she needs voice lessons. It will help her pitch and delivery while speaking publicly.
When she speaks now and attempts to project her voice, her vocal cords tense and she sounds like Minny Mouse on helium. It is very unpleasant and shrill.
Would I vote for her for President? Yes.

You made the point that I was going to make. The critics may be republicans, but they are certainly NOT conservatives. They are only democRAT lite.

I think you nailed it. I support her 100% but her voice ( accent)and sometimes her delivery are grating. She will do fine as the next prez.

I understand but perhaps we should focus on the content of her message and not on the projection of her voice.

Screw the Rinocrats and their total demolition of the once wealthiest nation on the planet turning us into a graveling slave chained to a international criminal enterprise - the FED.
The two headed beast took it’s first breath during the 1900’s, and is today the greatest threat to our God given freedoms and national security.
Arrest every member of each of the three branches of government; confiscate their personal wealth; and lock them up for life for attempting to overthrow our Constitutional Republic.

The content of her message cannot get through if her voice sounds like fingernails on a blackboard!
Voice lessons wouldn’t erase her originality or Midwestern accent. They would only help her communicate better, by controlling her breathing and relaxing tense vocal cords.
President Ronald Reagan is known as “The Great Communicator” and for a very good reason. People listened to what he said because he talked common sense and did so in a very clear and well modulated manner. Sarah Palin looks and presents herself as Presidential in my opinion. All she needs now is to speak like one.

There's no “....perhaps....” about it. Gov Palin is a kick-ass take-no-prisoners patriot. If RINO blue-bloods can't get behind her, they damn well better get to the rear of the line. Anything less of a commitment to the election of Sarah Palin as President is a threat to my children having a chunk of the American dream, and if push comes to shove, I'll walk all over anyone who gets in the way !!!

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
That’s why I prefer Demint over Sarah.
But my guy’s so “private” to run.
So ... I’ll stick with Sarah despite the voice if the other choices are Huck, Romney and other betamales. he he he

And if she were to get low and "breathy", she'd sound like a VAMP. /s
I personally don't care if she sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard as long as she can get this country on the right track again, and I think she can. At least, she would get a lot further than romney or any of the other blue blood RINOs could.
It seems one party really took "United We Stand, Divided We Fall" seriously, and that is the democrat party. They stand together, no matter what.
On the other hand, the independent-minded Conservatives are always nit-picking and finding fault with their own party members.
Finding a perfect candidate is almost as difficult as finding a perfect spouse...one in a million. If we did our girl and boyfriends like we do our candidates, we'd never get married because we'd be thinking their nose was too big, their ears are crooked, or they have a squeaky voice.
But even though many spouses might have such traits, we tend to see past those for the love, support, and trust we receive from them.
We can't seem to get a good candidate in the White House because of nit-picking. Everyone seems to want their on "custom made" candidate for President...well, that doesn't exist.
Single issue and nit-picking voters are a problem because they want a candidate to suit THEM, and to hell with the rest of the country. They are the greedy voters. They want a pet, a celebrity, not a President.
I am all about listening to WHAT Sarah says, and not HOW she says it. So long as she is telling me I have my freedom, and opportunity to make a living, I don't care if she sounds like a hundred-year-old rusty hinge...at least it's coming from her heart, and not a teleprompTer.

In other words, they do not want to see anyone in charge of the nuclear arsenal who might actually USE it in defense of America, if necessary.
“Nevil Chamberlain or no one!” is their motto.

Those are two words that should never be juxtaposed, IMO.

Main Street Mom and Dad. Come out in the thousands to hear Gov Palin. Seems to me you need to reevaluate your voice lessons BS, given the governor has already got more people watching and listening her than all the pretenders combined. In brief, put a cork in it.

I agree she needs voice lessons. And to help make her sound more serious rather than “cutesy”.
And, yes, I’ll be there to vote for her.
