Scotland Yard 'will arrest wanted WikiLeaks boss today'

WikiLeaks supremo Julian Assange could be arrested in Britain today over sex allegations.

Scotland Yard detectives were last night preparing to detain the 39-year-old over claims of rape and sexual assault in Sweden.

An extradition warrant is expected to be passed to the Metropolitan Police today or early next week.

They have apparently known for over a month where Australian-born Mr Assange, who is in hiding in south-east England, is staying.

He supplied the force with his contact details upon arrival in Britain in October, said his London-based lawyer.

It today emerged that Mr Assange only escaped arrest yesterday because the Swedish authorities filled out an Interpol arrest warrant incorrectly.

He is sick.

http://www.zerohedge.com/article/arrest-warrant-sex-crimes-against-wikileaks-founder-julian-assange-only-sex-without-condom

Interpol has issued an arrest warrant for Wikileaks founder Julian Assange for “sex crimes”.

Everyone assumed it was for rape.

But it turns out it was for violating an obscure Swedish law against having sex without a condom.

I’d sure like to know the real story behind the rape allegations. Seems so convenient. Also wonder what the extradition situation with Sweden is, as it applies to US espionage charges.

I would suggest that America try to extradite him and bring him to trial here, but zero would just give him American citizenship, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and a $1 Billion cash prize!!

I wonder if he's made a ‘Plan B’ with colleagues for the future release of information should he be detained/arrested.

The guy has been doing data-dumps of sensitive U.S. intel for some time now. Despite the obvious national security implications, to everyone's amazement, he had been completely left alone - the Swedish rape charges were dropped.

Now that he's going after some of the big banksters, all of a sudden there's swift movement on bringing this guy to justice - on the same Swedish rape charges.

"I wonder if he's made a ‘Plan B’ with colleagues for the future release of information should he be detained/arrested. "

...or killed? I'm sure he has. I read earlier this week that he's actually only provided 300 (or fewer) of the 250K cables he actually has. I don't know if that's accurate, but if it is, that's bad.

I'm not so sure he's not waiting for some foreign service (to include our own) to buy the remaining data from him.

Everyone assumed it was for rape.

From Your source... it reads...

"both cases began with consensual sexual contact but later included what the women claimed was nonconsensual sex, in which Assange didn’t use a condom"

Non consensual sex is rape. I don't think it is an obscure law in Sweden to have sex without a condom, but is a law that a woman that says no to having sex without a condom is rape.

The point is all the facts, details and context are not being fully reported in the media.
