A new Labor Department plan shows the president still has wide power to implement an anti-business agenda.
Because President Obama will now have a tough time getting his liberal agenda through a more Republican Congress, many Democrats are urging him to ram it through using the executive branch's unilateral power.
John Podesta, head of the Center for American Progress, even issued a list of executive orders and rule-makings last month that Mr. Obama can use to "push the country to a better place." If the Department of Labor is representative, his advice is in sync with moves already under way.
On Sept. 22, Labor's Office of the Solicitorwhich employs 400 attorneys to enforce the nation's labor lawsissued a draft "operating plan" to dramatically increase pressure on employers. A source inside the department says the plan has been adopted.
Patricia Smith, who heads the solicitor's office, told me in an interview yesterday that the plan is a "living document" that will "never be finalized." Whatever its status, it includes the following:
"Identify a public affairs liaison in each Regional Office" to "send stronger, clearer messages to the regulated community about DOL's emphasis on litigation.
I can’t wait to hear the words:
Hello Mr. President, my name is Supreme Court Justice John Roberts. Today we are here to address the case against you involving....
GOP House then can cut the DOJ budget by 50%. Let’s hope the GOP wants to play hardball. Time to investigate the Saudi investments and deals with all six US TV networks.
Hopefully some GOP House members will have some stones like Daryl Issa and Bachmann.
I'm just still waiting for him to tell everybody to turn in their guns; that will be an awakening for Big "O".
He is causing more damage then you can imagine. He and his puppetmasters who are major investors, joint venture partners in ALL US TV networks - the biggest exporters of islam and jihad to the West.
Screw it... lets get this over with, if they want to go down this path the man up, do it!
This is like the condemned waiting on the firing squad hoping they all have blanks in their guns.
Folks I really don’t think there is much beyond praying that any of us can do at this point. The tax cuts are stalling, talk of huge sell offs by the 15th, a market crash etc... jan 1 they go up, major parts of Osamacare kick in, hurting businesses further.
Repubs can’t act fast enough to stop those from coming. And even then all we can do is fund/defund, these parts are matters of law that the IRS already has the ability to enforce without added funds.
I think many here have too much faith the Repubs are going to save the day, I hate to break it to you... they won’t, they can’t.
The damage that is coming is already done. The bullet that’s going to kill us has already left the gun.
All that’s left is to pray and brace for impact...
Government by executive order is an old problem but is certainly getting worse. Executive orders are the temptation used by Presidents who seek to usurp Congressional authority. Just the thing to use to impose an agenda without the Congressional check.
“Labor’s Office of the Solicitorwhich employs 400 attorneys to enforce the nation’s labor lawsissued a draft “operating plan” to dramatically increase pressure on employers.”
Time for the GOP House to cut that budget item 80%. Eff these people. The GOP better go on full attack and start slashing this s**t.
Keep dreaming my friend, keep dreaming...

You are assuming the dumb shits who put him in office will come along with your plan?
My friend we are screwed... no two ways about it... bring lube...
"Hello Justice Roberts...Remember that little talk we had not long ago??"
No offshore drilling in parts of the Gulf?
The GOP House can then cut the Dept of Energy’s budget 70%. Why even have a DOE?
Sounds like a good time to defund 400 attorneys. And if they transfer another 400 to replace the ones defunded, defund another 400. Repeat as necessary until the message is understood. CLEARLY.
if the public had any brains they would yank the plug on TV, cancel all magazines and newspapers subs. Kill the propaganda beast that supports him and kill the USA-Saudi TV networks which own all the channels.
Go Galt - all the way. Huge sell off - please the dollar is tanking and the Fed money print is propping up the US markets. Who would invest here or build a factory in Zimbabwe 2. The drooling idiots who watch TV keep him in control.
Dang, you’re too upbeat. Come on tell us what you really mean.
I live quite rural, road to my community is only open a couple months every summer. I've been living off the and and out of my garden for many years and have the means to survive forever ; they won't starve me out like people in urban areas. Surely won't give up my freedom or live meek as a church mouse and I do believe there are a heck of alot of other Americans that think the same way I do too. They'll wake right up one of these days.
If zero wants to rule by EO, it should be a clarion call to all American patriots to sweep him and his fellow travellers (Pelosi, Reid, Ayers, his czars and czarinas, et al) OUT of power and INTO the prison cell he so richly deserves!!
The problem is that he is making Congress obsolete, not unlike the Roman Senate. When he is finished destroying our Republic, it won’t matter who the President (Caesar) is. They will have the power to rule. It is exactly what they (Progressives) want, to destroy us, by “transformation”. We will have evolved to this new form, without a revolution. God help us now, we need him more than we ever have.
