Pence is a good conservative and congressman. We know he is a good legislature but who knows what kind of an administrator he would make. He either needs to stay in the House and fight the battle there or run for Governor of Indiana and prove he has what it takes to be president. In this case, Palin has more “gravitas” to be president.

I’d be proud to strongly support Mike Pence, or Sarah Palin, plus a few others.

They are both like a breath of fresh air, and social conservatives, and strongly conservative in every way.

Pence is a solid conservative. IMO, his tallest hurdle is that no sitting congressman has been elected president since Garfield in 1881.

There have been 17 presidents who were members of the House of Representatives, but most of them served as senators or governors after leaving the House and before becoming president. Garfield is the only one to go straight from the House to the White House. He was one of only three Congressmen to even run for president as sitting House members. the other two were Henry Clay and John Anderson, both of whom lost.

Lincoln was elected president after having served in the Congress, but that was 12 years after he left the House.

Madison was also elected president after having been a U.S. Congressman, but he served 8 years as Secretary of State between the House and the White House.

I need to hear Kate Gosselin’s opinion about this.

Pence should run for governor of Indiana and Mitch Daniels should be considered for the next president of the US.

“Pence is Palin with gravitas. Pence is Palin with experience,” adds Brent Bozell, chairman of For America.

Pence is Palin without a following.

God, I hope so.

Don’t get me wrong... I LOVE Sarah, but Mike is a much better POTUS candidate.

Honestly, at this point, I think the ONLY person who can deny Sarah Palin the Republican nomination is Sarah Palin.

She may decide not to run. She may make a game changing mistake in an interview or debate.

But barring that, she WILL win the R nomination.

And if the economy is similar or worse than today, she WILL win the Presidency.

Now if they could just send everyone else home and it just be a Pence vs Palin primary, I’d be happy.

America wins either way.

Pence held firm against TARP. Sarah’s running mate helped run it through. I’d vote for either one but prefer Pence.

Actually a Pence/Palin ticket has a heck of a nice ring to it!
