Yep, and they're still at it, although most of them admit that they've never actually seen a missile launch themselves. (Interestingly, the bulk of FReepers who've watched missiles launches and who've posted to the threads, say outright it was a missile. You can read the posts on the many threads over the past three weeks -- I have).
One of the most prolific pushers of the airline contrail nonsense, Rokke, had gone for 21 months on Free Republic without making one, solitary post -- his most recent was on Feb. 13, 2009.
Then on Nov. 11, 2010, two days after CBS shows the Leyvas footage, he went into overdrive.
Since then, to date, he has made 52 posts to Free Republic, every one of them on the missile threads. Quite a lot of them have all kinds of pictures and graphs and arrows and calculations and comparison shots of all kinds of hooptidoodle, ANYTHING TO DISTRACT PEOPLE from the video by Gil Leyvas that started it all.
That's right. One of the noisiest and most desperate proponents of the airline contrail hoax ... Silence for nearly two years ... and then all the sudden more than 50 posts on one subject in three weeks.
Smells like a guy with an agenda, to me.

Except that I've seen ICBM launches from Vandenberg AFB in person and I saw this one and Tuesday's contrail in person, as well.
It was a jet.

You sure get a lot of things wrong. This post of yours is no different. I've got 15 years flying fighters including several combat tours, fly the MD-11 for FedEx and am currently back on long term military orders, so I avoid posting on FR for Hatch Act issues (most of the threads on FR are political in nature). It is safe to say I have probably spent more time in my life creating giant contrails and dodging missiles than you've spent dreaming up conspiracy fantasies.
Of the countless threads on FR about this incident, I've posted 98% of my 50+ comments on one of them. If that makes me the most prolific poster, where do I collect my prize.
And in this post #492 in that thread, I specifically addressed you and only you about nothing but the Leyvas video. You declined to respond. And still haven't. As I've said before though...keep posting. You are the worst advocate for the missile theory out there. Keep it up.

This place draws lots of paid operators with agendas.
Seems I finally got through to him about TWO VIDEOS ~ yup, one by the Network and one by the local affiliate and BOTH DIFFERENT. That let Leyvassay it was going both East and West, that it was big and small, that it was a missile and an airplane, and allowed CBS network and local broadcast personnel to fill your minds with mysterious thoughts about it all.
It was both a HOAX, and PROPAGANDA.
CBS tricked people. The only issue remaining is did they do it on purpose, or just stupidly.
There is a series of STILL PHOTOS taken from the original video that clearly showed that this was a contrail ~ you were still able to access them at the CBS NEWS website a couple of days ago.
