I always get confused on the terminology. It used to be negro, then black, then African-American (referring to blacks of US birth as opposed to Africans), then it was black again, etc.

Why I am not surprised. Minorities refer to whites as whitey, cracker, honky, Pohonk, white devil, gringo, albino, etc.

I thought electing Obama was going to end all this? /sarc

I have known real Africans who are now proud to call themselves Americans. Let me tell you that thugs like these would not last one day, no one hour in Africa!
