He always has. Goldman prides itself in its amoral ability to land itself on the right side of a profit --- didn't they spearhead the housing derivatives and then bet against them when the ponzi scheme became unsustainable---for even more profit?
IMO, Paulson is made of the same cloth.
I don’t think GW Bush was ill-intended.
Neither do I. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for a long time, but his recent comments cause me to think he has become willfully blind to the current threats against America, and I have come question his current usefulness to Constitutionally-loving Americans (other than his abiding respect and gratitude for our vets and Armed Services).
GW Bush unplugs once his mind is made up about something. Even if he made a mistake, he doesn’t kick himself because it was based on the info he had at the time. That’s an attitude good generals teach their officers [and that bad generals often parrot]. Scholars prefer a former leader who is more reflective.
