Another reason why home schooling makes sense.

I don’t celebrate Christmas, but I think what they did and why they did it is just disgusting. Stupid liberals...

Pre-emptively ban blue, gold, green, and white during EID and Ramandan. Just because...

Question is will the parents put up with this BS? If so, they’re useful idiots similar to 1933 Germany.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the diversity holiday of Kwanzaa is allowed to be celebrated.

It’s almost as if I’m having a bad dream, and soon I’ll wake up and America will still be like it was when I was a kid.

The best that people can do is decorate their homes inside and out with as much Christmas as they can (or can stand); put the nativity scene in their front yard and do everything possible to show Christmas. I am always disappointed with folks that don't ask people next to court houses and other government buildings to put the nativity sets up. To me that is a great way to tell the local government to screw off. Of course most people would rather just complain amongst themselves and anonymous Internet FRiends.

The school says it isn’t true. I wonder if Fox will get a copy of the guidelines.

Life imitates South Park.

I suppose they’ll bring in Phillip Glass to do the music for their Winter Program.

Well, if they don't want Christmas mentioned, practiced, or reference to, they shouldn't have the day off from teaching. Seems to me, the majority of the parents should stop worrying about the minority and exercise their rights as parents. . . join the PTA, get on the school board, etc. and let their wants and concerns be known.

It is in St Mary, Seminole County. Here is the districts response:

November 29, 2010

The school district of Seminole County would like to correct the recent news stories regarding the "ban of red and green" at Heathrow Elementary School in Lake Mary, Florida. The banning of red and green is simply not true.

Out of respect for their diverse community, the common practice for December classroom activities has been a winter theme which can include red, green, or any color.

Unfortunately the principal of the school was not contacted by any parent prior to the news stories. Parents are encouraged to contact the principal with any questions relating to school policies and practices.

Regina Murray Klaers Public Information Officer Seminole County Public Schools

Being a native Floridian from a small town, I know they are on a very hot seat right about now...
