While attending an event billed as "open to the public", conservative blogger Adam Sharp was harassed, roughed up and forcibly removed.
His "crime"? Someone at the Washington University at St. Louis thought Sharp worked for Fox News, and didn't like the questions he was asking Van Jones - the main speaker at the event.
Gateway Pundit reported that "several university officials harassed the citizen journalists at the event. One university thug even roughed up Sharp and grabbed for his camera."
Van Jones was recently ousted from his White House position as the so-called "green jobs czar" after his admitted communism and 9-11 trutherism stirred controversy.
Jones also published an obscenity-laced anti-government rap song in which he called Uncle Sam "the real terrorist."
A group funded by Jones, Color of Change, led a successful campaign to keep Andrew Breitbart off ABC News Election night coverage.
The group is also targeting Glenn Beck and Fox News in hopes of silencing them as well.
Sharp attended the event in hopes of asking Jones about his radical views, but Sharp learned first hand the progressive definition of free speech.
It is just amazing how Fox News, Sarah Palin, or a few other bogeymen can set these freaks off.
When you go to a Van Jones “event”, you must remember to wear either a hammer and sickle armband or an SEIU T-shirt. It’s the only protection you’ll have.
Funded by Jones....??? Freedom of Speech is ours to lose, Conservative or Communist or Socialist.
So Jones can publish ‘an obscenity-laced anti-government rap song in which he called Uncle Sam “the real terrorist,” ‘ but doesn’t like another private citizen asking him questions?
Typical liberal thugocracy.

"Color of Change". How subtle.
I can think of and own several other forms of “protection” which I would definitely bring along to such an event. Dogs have teeth, cats have claws, and eagles have talons. None of them are much into relying on camouflage, and neither am I.
Well said.
Wash U StL is the Hellmouth of St. Louis.
The Communist Party is much stronger here in the USA than most people will admit. They are even stronger than the German Bund before WWII. Remember, in the USSR only about 10 percent of the population were active members of the Communist Party.
Please don’t flame me ... I think this fellow and others are doing great work, refusing to be intimidated; asking tough questions; never backing down.
But ... the impact is greatly diluted by the foolishness of the questions. If he wants his question answered, he needs to pose a serious question. Van Jones got away with dismissing him only because he lacked a substantive question that related to the subject matter that Jones was delivering that day.
What needs to happen is that those of us who consider ourselves conservatives need to have all of our ducks in a row. We need to know what our rights are going into these sorts of affairs, even if we aren’t leading the way ... and even if our intent is to take in the event passively. What are Van Jones intellectual property rights? What rights do others have to video tape? Do those open the door for this blogger? Etc Etc
Because what needs to happen is that bloggers like this good fellow need to have everything lined up perfectly; and then when their rights are violated, ten of us who consider ourselves conservatives need to stand up, open our own cell phones and begin taping as well. And when all ten of us get kicked out another one hundred need to do the same. And then a thousand, if that’s what it takes.
But the bottom line must be that we have all elements of the law on our side, and show the deference and respect that the left does not show us in venues where our speakers are booked. When we are fully prepared, we can take on the intellectual poison that these universities underwrite.
Washington University is my alma mater. I am sad and angry.
Soon enough there will be more than just fists flying at these events.
Truth. He has a problem with truth.
