Viewers sent photos of a strange cloud formation over the Sacramento-area skies Wednesday afternoon.

The National Weather Service says the phenomenon is called a “hole punch cloud,” which are frequently caused by passing jets.

I’ve seen several in Fl just north of Tampa. One was at night, perfect circle, and the moon was visible through it, it just off to one side. On the other side a jet was visible through it leaving a rather normal thin contrail that was lit up beautifully by the moonlight.

Hole Punch Clouds A “Hole Punch” cloud is a non-technical name given to a cloud formed from an aircraft dissipation hole or trail. They are also called "Punch Hole" clouds. ... http://weatherthings.com/HolePunch.html Yea.....that is what THEY say it is, but there are other things to consider. The cloud in the center could be a cloaking tool. In 1997, I witnessed a similar occurance and after seeing it in real life, I have a very open mind as to what those things can really be.

The recent supposed UFO over O’Hare airport had a ‘hole punch’ opening through which the supposed UFO ascended. I’m betting the holographic UFO projections change the ion state of the air causing clouds to open up hole formations.

There were definitely beautiful clouds over Sacramento this evening, I didn’t see this particularly unique occurance but I did observe some fantastic orange/gray clouds that blanketed the sky.

Ah, the area a micro black hole just passed through on it’s way through the earth. Hopefully it had enough momentum to carry it through the other side and eventually out of our solar system or we’re toast...
