After talking with President Obama for two hours, Republicans said Tuesday that they were pleased and remained committed to finding common ground.
The president did make the important point that he hasnt spent much time with us reaching out and talking to us, and committed to do so, incoming House Speaker John Boehner, who said the meeting was very nice, told reporters.
I think spending more time will help us ... find common ground, Boehner said.

The only common ground I want is a burial site for 0bamao's Marxist agenda!
Cue Lucy ( Obama) pulling football away at last second from gullible GOP
We’ve been sold out once again. And again, no Reach-around.
Dumb clucks!
Looks like the reasons behind the election results, in less than a month's time, have been forgotten by the Republicans. It will be interesting -- if not tragic -- to see how Republicans find "common ground" with a committed, uncompromising socialist who has done nothing to find "common ground" with them.
He has to be polite about this. It would be stupid and counterproductive to be rude. But he did slide in that comment about Obama not being very bipartisan until he was forced to.
I don’t fault him on this. Let’s wait and see what he DOES.
For instance, does he appoint that flaming leftist idiot to head the Commerce & Energy Committee? If he does, then that will be a REAL signal that he has betrayed us and has to go.
The whole point of 2008 was that these people spent too much time finding common ground since 2000.

Rush says a teaching moment has been lost, about what conservatism is, sticking to it and saying “no”. Cantor and McConnell are old school knicker boys in gorilla warfare. Entirely out of place, out of step and need to be harranged by US, by Palin, by the Tea Party, like NOW!! We have caved this morning to nanny state. Unacceptable!
“Which one of them took the wet spot?”
Good one - you sound like me.
OK all of you GOP fans out there tell me SOMETHING good that happened in this “meeting”? From the looks of it the House GOP got ROLLED!
So, how does one find "common ground" with an America-hating communist anyhow?
Unless you're one yourself, of course.
Bull F-——g S—t!!!!!!!
I hope the Republicans know we are watching. Not what they say, but what they do.
Compromising is for losers. Who’s seeking common ground? Sounds to me like its our side!
Here we go again!
Obama has already figured how to take credit for what improvements Republicans might make. Not nice at all.
Call their DC offices and ask if they’re still looking for their cajones, spine and guts.
It didn’t take them that long to find their inner Mr. Bipartisan.
John McCain must be bursting with pride today!
Lets wait and see what he DOES.

While waiting to see, check out #13. We are not serious about fiscal sanity. Cantor and McConnell are presenting a problem. They need to be hammered post haste with reality.
Insurance is a hedge against potential risk of catastrophe, not a guarantee to put a pillow under your nether regions for a hang nail or preconditions. That is welfare.
We are headed to single payer with faux conservatism like this. Period.
If Cantor’s remarks are true, he is an embarrasment to all of us who have the interests of our Country in our heart.
What a disappointment! OUTRAGE HERE? YES, YES, YES!!!
And, yes, I am yelling!
