You should be so talentless......... I *am* completely devoid of musical talent,as is Nelson. But unlike Nelson,I've never been arrested...have never used an illegal drug....and don't look like cockroaches have settled in various parts of my body and items of my clothing.

“Always on My Mind” is a beautiful song. Willy must have toked 3 or 4 hoglegs to come up with that one.
No New York Needles for Willy!

Me and Paul - Willie Nelson
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_2WeE52IyE
It’s been rough and rocky travelin’,
But I’m finally standin’ upright on the ground.
After takin’ several readings,
I’m surprised to find my mind`s still fairly sound.
I guess Nashville was the roughest,
But I know I said the same about them all.
We received our education
In the cities of the nation, me and Paul.
Almost busted in Laredo,
But for reasons that I’d rather not disclose,
But if you’re stayin’ in a motel there and leave,
Just don’t leave nothin’ in your clothes.
And at the airport in Milwaukee,
They refused to let us board the plane at all,
They said we looked suspicious,
But I believe they like to pick on me and Paul.
I guess Nashville was the roughest,
But I know I said the same about them all.
We received our education
In the cities of the nation, me and Paul.

See my comments @39. Don't waste time with Gay State. He's got no taste and wouldn't know good music if you hit him over the head with it.
I've come to accept the fact that most musicians are just a little bit off center. Maybe it's a left-brain/right-brain type of thing. I don't know. But Willie is an American Icon. I wouldn't pay any attention to what Willie says politically. But the man has music and song writing talent galore. And I don't think Willie Nelson is very political the way an AHole like Springsteen is. Willie is an all around good guy and from what I've read is very well liked by everyone in the music community.

I think I have every song Willie recorded, at least I have tried to collect them all. Me and Paul is a good one but most of them are good. I love Willie, I think I saw him at the airport once but I was too shy to go up and say hello. At age 77 I think his voice is not quite what it used to be, he is still out there singing. He was in Houston last year and I missed him. Darn it!

Johnny Cash was also a national treasure but he made a wreck out of his life with pill and drug addiction. Johnny cleaned up years before he died. Why didn't you bother to know about that?

I am no fan of Willie Nelson’s, but that is a very strong charge. Do you have documentation?

She did own it. The man can write and interpret others works. Don’t like his politics and I’m not a huge fan, but I can admire his body of work. Over 2500 hundred songs written by or in part my him. Incredible.

Stopping Willie Nelsons tour bus and searching it for pot just doesnt seem sporting. That's not at all what happened. Looked like to me he was asking for this. Research the details for the truth of the matter.
