Oh my goodness, golly gee whiz. . .how will those progressive, understanding, politically-enlightened Oregonian libs explain this?

You mean that nice young man of another culture, one that is so misunderstood and means us no harm, tried to kill us? There must be some mistake. Or, perhaps it’s our fault. Maybe we did something to make him angry. Yes, that’s it. It’s not his fault that he’s the way he is. We’ve provoked him by defending ourselves. It’s really OUR fault that he tried to blow us to pieces. /sarc

Amish?

Of course we all know what the terrorists have in common. I particularly enjoyed a recent quote from a Muslim spokesman who said he hoped the Mohamud incident wouldn’t cause people to link Islam with terrorism. Now what in the world would lead people to that conclusion? It boggles the mind! (uh, that’s extreme sarcasm for the uninitiated).

It’s completely, clearly, textually denounced in the Islamic religion.

Lying for the R.O.P.

troublesome creek: “It’s really OUR fault that he tried to blow us to pieces.”

Yep. We should open a dialog with these poor freedom fighters (aka Asian Yutes), explain how sorry we are for being oppressors, disarm our military, and beg for forgiveness (a la the Obama administration). Maybe then we could have world peace.

(I just doubled down on your sarcasm, troublesome creek.)

Also he did a HS project on how a grenade explodes...

There are more. They go to indoctrination centers, read the death cult handbook and visit terrorist websites. They were welcomed into this country with open arms.

Now they should be sent back to where they came from with a one way ticket.

Celtic Cross: “I beliiiieeevvveee....”

LOL. It seems we’re all on a sarcasm roll today. Amazingly enough, Janet Napolitano recently said she was having trouble finding something that could link all the terrorists. Some are poor. Some are rich. Etc. We’re well past the absurd now...

Are there any Americans who are still buying the Religion of Peace propaganda? I mean, anyone with half a brain...er...I guess that leaves liberals out, but the rest of us have certainly wised up, right?

"progressive"

Five years ago the Portland city council rejected an offer from the feds to help with a joint anti-terror force which would combat incipient terrorist acts in their city. They rejected it because the evil Bush was in power, and certain groups (guess who?) might be unfairly targeted. Now, believe it or not, they're rethinking their refusal to cooperate with the feds. I wonder why? (smirk) What a bunch of useless schmucks.

Is a guy with two Mohammed’s in his name TWICE as likely to be a terrorist?

I remember when Ann Coulter pointed out that a particular Islamic Jihad strike had scored a perfect Mohammed, every member of the terrorist team had Mohammed in his name!

No, no, no! You’ve got it all wrong! His last name is pronounced MO-Ha-Mood! As the laryngeal contortionists (idiots) on my local nightly newscast (KTXL Fox 40 Sacramento), repeatedly, informed me. These dopes couldn’t pronounce their own names if they weren’t written-down for them.

Even though he'd been talking about violenet jihad since he was 15. Unreal how the local TV stations out of Portland are trying to cover for this creep. Interviewing neighbors who say what a great guy he is!

The mosque office was burned, nothing else... how do we know that they didn't do it themselves, to cover up any paper/ computer trail linking the mosque to this terrorist wanna-be?

“...despite Mohamud’s avowedly Islamic motivations, the Imam Yosof Wanly of the Salman Al-Farisi Islamic Center in Corvallis, Oregon, followed a predictable and oft-repeated pattern when he downplayed Mohamud’s connection to the local Muslim community.

Every jihadist who has ever lived for any time in the United States has been simultaneously a devout and informed Muslim by his own account, and by the account of the local mosque leaders, someone they seldom saw and who was at odds with the larger community when he did show up.

It raises a large question that no journalist ever has the wit or courage to ask: if these jihad terrorists really had little or nothing to do with their local mosques, and if their understanding of Islam differs so sharply from that of the area Muslims, where did they learn the version of Islam that impelled them to attempt mass-murder of infidels?”

When they finally get around to deciding on a narrative, I think it is going to be something along the lines that the Feds entrapped this poor boy by encouraging him to pursue violent acts.

If they had not done that, the little scamp would probably be smoking dope and swilling Old Milwaukee out of 40 ounce bottles behind 7-11s with the rest of his age group — just as nature intended.
