What major positions taken by McCain AFTER March, 2009 (beginning of major tea party activity) have been opposed to tea party positions?

That may be, but McCain will say anything to prevent TP'ers haranguing his RINO @ss during the next six years.

He can say what he wants. It's the votes that count, so we'll see. Democrats think we're idiots, but McCain knows better now.

Is McCains bucking for the VP slot LOL!

Like Reagan she’ll have to choose a strong Establishment Republican running mate.

He’d be a good choice too... nah, he can’t follow orders or shut up. Too bad.

You mean McCain has backed off his position :

“Amnesty has to be an important part [of my co-sponsorship of my McCain-Kennedy Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill."]?

McCain is the ultimate political weasel and RINO. Now he'll pretend to oppose the DREAM Act but will continue to work behind the scenes to undermine Border Enforcement and promote Amnesty.

He can say what he wants.

Especially if it's politically expedient.

Democrats think we're idiots, but McCain knows better now.

That may be, but Dems don't necessarily care whether what Republicans or conservatives think, just as long as they fool Independents.

As to McCain, he's only interested in best serving the "bi-partisan" legacy and glory of John McCain.

‘As to McCain, he’s only interested in best serving the “bi-partisan” legacy and glory of John McCain.’

By the evidence of this story, he plans to enter history as the man who promoted President Sarah Palin into prominence.

"On the other hand, they're scared shitless of Palin, who just by existing turns some of their most profitable assumptions into crap."

LOL! Just posted a post on this very topic on my blog page today. It's getting pretty obvious, isn't it? "I love the smell of lefty fear in the morning...it smells like...V I C T O R Y!!"

No doubt wearing a white cowboy hat and atop a white steed.

Any "promotion" of Palin by McCain was assuredly accidental and coincidental.

Not many believe McCain actually had anything to do with the selection of Sarah Palin as his running mate. Do you?

History will note McCain-Feingold and McCain-Kennedy, his reticence in addressing the illegal alien disaster in Arizona, his lame hands-off-0bama Presidential campaign.

McCain's shameless bi-partisan fetish will ultimately define this man forever.

Anyone who voted for Obama should recuse themselves
from commenting on the intelligence of anyone else.
