Thank you for your good report on those that have served and are serving in our military. They certainly deserve good reports!

I can’t figure out why it didn’t turn up in my search. I went back. Even now, only my thread is being shown. Sometimes there are slight differences in the title, but the title appears identical.

It's hard to do. I was 43, over the age, but take into account the previous service (18 years previous), they knock years off for that, but they don't count training from back then, go figure.
And then there was the deaf thing. Bad loss in the 700-3000 hz band. -2.3 db. It took Freepers helping me write waiver letters and a waiver from USAFR Command for me to get back in.
Wound up costing me a marriage. Jim had to change my screen name, because my original lead back to my physical address, and opsec was important then.
It was worth it.

Who cares? Good news bears repeating. If you hadn’t re-posted this, I would have missed it and it’s an inspiring story. Thanks.

Exactly. I would much rather see a good post a second time than hear from Grinch the first time.

I suspect we get them in the same place we got them 2 days ago when this article was first posted. Ummm... if it had not been posted a second time by neverdem, I and many others would not have seen it.
I can't think of a better post illustrating patriotism, loyalty, self-sacrifice and love to be repeated.

He recalls treating a Marine corporal in Afghanistan who got shot in the upper arm. Krissoff operated on him and cleaned up the wound, then told him hed have to recuperate back in the States. He wouldnt hear of it, Krissoff chuckles. The corporal stayed at Camp Bastion a while and rejoined his unit. Krissoff heard he got shot a second time and went right back to his unit in Marja again.I'm reading a book on Iwo Jima right now. In one chapter, it told of a young Marine who went missing from his hospital ship (AWOL, essentially). He jumped ship and headed back to the lines with his unit. He wound up getting killed in action shortly thereafter.

Determination. Some people really have it.
Tucson - A 41 year old woman with seven children, 5’8” tall, 292 lbs, loses 100 pounds so she can join the Army. She can now run a mile in 10 minutes and 18 seconds.
Hooah!
