Love Christie... he really takes no prisoners. That’s why the Democrats and the unions back home can’t stand him.
Yup, it’s got a use by date, or chuck it.
Really, I think Jindal should have turned down the gala chairman gig.
Really, I think Jindal should have turned down the gala chairman gig.
I saw Christie speak at a little pre-election day rally for Anna Little. It was pretty much a 100% tea party crowd. Many, many of those people did not vote for Christie in the primary and some still consider him, if not a RINO, insufficiently conservative. And of course he’s aware of this.
Nevertheless, he spoke to that crowd PERFECTLY. It was the second best presentation I’ve ever seen. (The best was a presentation by a salesman who basically has a miraculous gift from God. That guy could literally sell ice to Eskimos.)
I really had the impression that Christie could go out and speak to all different types of people and make his message compelling to them. I felt like he was speaking TO ME. He really has a tremendous talent.
I came home and told hubby, now I see why people say he could run for president. I’m sure he’d make Obama seem like the empty headed, empty suit that he is.
But I don’t want Christie to run for president, not yet and certainly not until the border is sealed like a drum, because he is weak on illegal immigration. But I really want him to stay here in NJ and keep working on the million problems we have here. And also help build up the party here. I think he can be a good bridge between the tea partiers and the country club set.
DON’T RUN CHRIS DON’T RUN!
What the hell is meant by this? This sounds like a damn democrat talking. If you give them less of it? WTF?
There is a video of Christie getting a bunch of sh*t from a school teacher that he cut education spending.
Christie explains that the former Guv spent a “one-time-good-deal” $1 billion from the Feds in the election year on eucation [and the Guv STILL lost] - instead of saving it for a rainy day.
So, when Chrisite came in, he was already $1 billion down on education from the year before. He found $250 million, so he closed the gap to $750 million, but figured that he had to freeze teacher pay and have them contribute 1.5% of their salary to their healthcare. This would have solved the problem.
But, when he asked the teacher’s union to support this, they balked. So, he had no choice but to make cuts in personnel and services ...
He shot down that teacher who gave him sh*t but good ...
"The time has come to reassert that we are Americans, and America is a learned civilization,'' he said, pronouncing learned as a one- rather than two-syllable word.
How else should he have pronounced it?
Who invited this Establishment has-been? Hasn't he been part of the problem?
“if you want voters to “fog over” when you speak, throw down the newspaper when they read about you, and vote against you the next time.”
For some reason, Mitch McConnell comes to mind. Especially “fog over” when you speak.

All good advice to freshmen members of the House and the Senate. You were sent to Versailles on the Potomac to stir things up, not business as usual. The first time somebody, ANYBODY, tells you to follow the rules, in pulic OR private, call them out in public, by name!
Sure, it’ll p!$$ them off, but they won’t say it again.
We are not a two-syllable learned society when our news editors don't know that the alternative to such a long-winded explanation is simply to write "learnèd."
